The Peking Duck House has always been a celebratory spot for my family. It’s great for large groups and it’s BYOB so it’s actually a pretty good deal if you’re trying to get it going.
I know the duck house has had its ups and downs over the years, and the duck and entrees aren’t cheap. I still really enjoy the quality of food, service, and overall atmosphere.
The duck, crispy beef, minced string beans are always a hit.
I like the Peking duck here; it’s a better deal than places like Da Dong and the same quality in my opinion. Not too far off from what I’ve gotten in Beijing, although the duck isn’t cooked quite as well but that’s understandable. It hits the spot for me when I’m craving Peking duck.
The duck was brought out and carved right in front of us. This duck is put on a rotisserie to even out the fat distribution as it cooks leaving every bite delectable but the green beans were the star of the show. This entree is cooked with garlic and pork fat and has a depth of flavor that leaves you wishing had another plate.
