Worth the hype. Food was subtle perfection and service was warm and friendly. We sat outside as a group of 4 and it was one of my favourite dinners in NYC. Lasagna, sourdough pasta and the potatoes were show stoppers. Recommend going as a group so you can order a lot and share family style. Will definitely be back.
We lined up at open and were able to get seats at the bar after a less than 2 hour wait (we were given an accurate estimate). The host did a great job facilitating this and made the night very seamless.
The food and drink lived up to the hype. My prosciutto washed cocktail was a very refreshing entry into the evening. The chrysanthemum salad was one of the best salads I’ve had in NYC. My pork steak with beans and dandelion greens is probably a top 10 pork dish in NYC. The meat was cooked perfectly and the overall dish worked really well. The tiramisu was also amazing. A great way to end the meal.
Highly recommend for all looking for innovative Italian food in a great atmosphere.
This place was so so so good. I don’t understand the negative reviews. I’ve had a LOT of Italian food in New York and this is up there with the best. Highly deserving of their star!
Garlic flatbread - perfectly flaky and warm.
Chrysanthemum salad - more of a cheese salad with greens but I’m not complaining. Loved their take on a Caesar.
Lasagna for two - star of the show. I will crave this in my dreams!
