Posted this on twitter a little bit ago, but I’m very satisfied with how Wheeltapper handled a situation involving racism and prejudice on behalf of a patron at the bar. I was at the bar and overheard another patron spewing hatred toward the black community and making racist, prejudiced remarks about blacks and NFL players. When I confronted the man about his remarks, he raised his voice at me and continued to stand his ground in the awful things he said. I talked to my server and a manager and was assured that they don’t tolerate that type of behavior. The manager cleared my tab, and I assume told the man he had to leave. Thank you to my server and the manager who helped, and I’m so glad that Wheeltapper cares for the well-being of all their customers, regardless of the tab!
Warm and friendliest staff, the food is excellent. The pretzels balls and Turkey Club sooooo good. Went there for early dinner before Big East Concert went back following day for brunch. Staff remembered us, thats a good thing right! LOL We have found our place when near Grand Central. Attached to the Fitzpatrick hotel, very convient.
Fantastic place with Great character!! Loved the atmosphere, food was amazing....and the Staff are extremely friendly!! The kind of staff you want to hang and share a pint with! We will definitely be back! Cheers!!!
