Cute, little low key vibe here. Service was spectacular! We say with our dogs outside in the Covid Shack. They even brought out a water dish for the pups. The food all looked very pretty and was tasty. Solid spot on Eighth Street to chill outside and have an agreeable meal at a decent price. Very comfortable and relaxed

Came for sorer dinner, had chicken teriyaki and taste of drunken noodles. The food was so good and fresh! Staff very nice and accommodating to our large group! Will be coming back!

Rasa is a great halal Malaysian/Thai restaurant that I would recommend to anyone looking to try something new. We visited here on a Friday for lunch and it wasn’t too busy. We were seated and served very quickly. Everything inside the restaurant was clean and the service was very friendly. Our server recommended several dishes for us to try, which we ordered. For a starter, we had the satay chicken skewers. For the entrees, we ordered the rendang beef and mee hoon goreng noodle dish. Both tasted good but the rendang beef was our favourite. The quantities were large although the prices were a bit on the high end. I would definitely like to try some of the other items on the menu as well.

Visit this restaurant on May 2022 for early dinner. The location is not far from subway, andnear NYU, makes it easy for access without a car or taxi. The service is good, when they know we are an asian people, greeting us in our mother tounge. Makes us feels at home ... The food delicious, fair price and they confirm this is a halal food. Recommended to visit this restaurant again if we visit NYC.

Malaysian spot with tasty, authentic options. Anthony Bourdain had been here before for the Sarawak laksa, and that’s exactly what I got. The broth was nuanced and immensely flavorful. Note that it does have shrimp. It was so good that even when my dad had some soup go down the wrong pipe, he still kept eating the soup in between coughing. The Malaysian combo came with 2 of each item - chicken satay, murtabak (these little potato pastry things), and curry puff pastries (note there’s meat inside). My mom got the Nasi Kerabu with fried chicken and loved it. It came with blue rice, which was pretty cool, and the chicken was well done - lightly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The mango smoothie was a bit icy but I liked how they added a bit of whipped cream and strawberries on top. Credit cards are accepted. Indoor and outdoor dining is available. Two gender neutral bathrooms are available in the back. They do have alcohol; the Mekong whiskey was earthy and my dad enjoyed his neat. It’s good for big groups as well as one-on-one hangouts, and they do have takeout. Overall, highly recommend grabbing food at this place whenever you’re craving something flavorful.

All the dishes ordered were so unique and authentic. I wouldn't say they had a western twist to it either. Everything was prepared quickly and fresh, and each bite was flavorful. The staff was extremely friendly! Would recommend for those looking for a new and unique restaurant to try. Pictured is the Nasi Kerabu and Rendang beef

Amazing! The food is incredible and fairly priced. I had the crispy fried flounder, a butterfly tea and onedo onedo as dessert. Everything was amazing but what made the experience really special was the service. Everyone is so so so nice and helpful. Could not recommend more!
