It's hard to find a good meal at a reasonable price in the city, but the Olympic Flame provides just that. They have your typical diner meals and you can get breakfast all day. I have occasionally had brunch there and their breakfast menu is vast. Typically I have lunch and will get either the burger, BLT or a chicken wrap with fries or onion rings. Every meal that I have had is prepared perfectly. The highlight of the experience is their cake/pie display. They have the tallest meringue pies that I have ever seen. I have yet to order desert, but plan to have a slice of the pie. It looks incredibly decedent and must be tried at least once. The staff is always friendly and I have never waited for a table. There is plenty of seating which can be a rarity in the City.
This place is your classic American diner. We stopped in for a late breakfast this morning and it was exactly what you'd hope for in a diner breakfast.

Yes there is a difference between good and bad eggs. The place offers a wide variety of breakfast options including a wide range of omelette options. The server returned frequently to keep the coffee topped up (another big plus in my book).
Cost wise the price is pretty average for a large city (about $70 for five of us), but the portions are generous so it still comes across as a decent value proposition. If you're in the area and looking for a good breakfast, it's worth a visit.

Always love this place! One of my favorite restaurants in the area, with lots of menu items to choose from and very affordable prices, that alone should make you want to come here. The service is always quick and courteous and the space and seating is always clean. I tried something different than my usual meals and was pleasantly surprised.
Highly recommend to anyone in the area, they have everything from breakfast items and sandwiches to pasta and baked goods.

Diners in New York are a way of life. Finding a place to get good food on the go with not a lot of fanfare and ballyhoo isn't always easy , but in this town it makes it look simple with the likes of Olympic Flame Diner. They have joined the remaining restaurants striving to keep it going literally on the streets of N.Y.C. Always good to keep it simple . Good value and quality service.
Minus one star for the delay in paying the bill. Look for the edit. No doubt will frequent a sitting once again.
A wonderful place to bring your family for breakfast. Their pick up and delivery service is speedy too.
