I tried there Miso Soup!!!! It was Delicious!! Very nice workers. Nice place. I would recommend this to friends and family.
Great food, great prices, amazing service! The guy at the counter allowed me to try multiple samples of their ramen broths and made it the best experience you could ask for.

I have been looking for a good ramen place for some time around Newark and am glad to find Ramen Gami! Ramen Gami is a Japanese restaurant in the Rutgers neighborhood, serving good food with generous portion sizes at decent prices. The place is pretty cozy with about 7-8 tables, but can get crowded at lunch hours - also may involve some waits.
Recently visited them with a group of friends for lunch. The menu had a few vegetarian/vegan friendly options. The ramen is make your own style, you get to choose between three types of broth, a bunch of toppings and also the type of noodles. I had tried the veg Miso Ramen with extra toppings of Bean Curd and Mushrooms. It was very flavorful and had great umami flavor, if you like it a bit spicy you can add some hot chili sauce to the broth. For desert, I tried the Mochi ice cream - green tea and chocolate flavored. Mochi was great, an absolute must try and the $2.25 price tag is a steal deal.
A few of my friends also tried the Curry Katsu box and had liked it a lot. Its a lunch special they have added and is not on the menu. In fact my friend John asked me to add that "Chicken was delicious" in the Curry Katsu.

Overall its a must try place for some good ramen in Newark. But be mindful of the waits during lunch hours and can get pretty crowded in there.
Unique and great service! Not your typical ramen restaurant. The meat is not included in the ramen by default, so make sure you order it as a topping. The ramen were less salty than most places I've been to, so get the shoyu Ramen if you want something more salty. The marinated eggs were delicious as well!
I had some ramen there and took home a couple of sushi rolls. Both were really good. It was fresh and with lots of flavor. The staff is super friendly, and the place is clean. Definitely check it out!
This is literally the ONLY place I go to for Ramen! It is the best Ramen I have ever had. I brought my fiance here and he loved it!! We go like once a week because it's cold out and it's the perfect comfort food!
PS: Newark is not a safe location so be safe, alert, and always travel with a group.. especially if you're going at night.

GO HERE. I was so happy. Everything was fantastic, service was fast, staff was friendly, and they stock Japanese soft drinks as well. I will be going back, for sure. I didn't even see that they had BUNS there too. Hearty, delicious food OMG I can't speak highly enough of this little slice of heaven.
Ramen Gami is without any doubt one of the best sushi options in the newark downtown area. Near NJIT, its not your college experience. The sushi is simply put, AMAZING. I will 100% recommend you ordering the Kamakazi roll. Actually let me re frase that, say this "Cristo recommend me to order a Kamakazi roll" you won't regret it. Update even when the Kamakazi is still an amazing roll now you should order the "Cristo Roll" thats right I love this place so much that I got my own name on a sushi roll and OMW shirmp tempura with coconut and a FRESH mango sauce (yes fresh) it is delicious. I am beyond happiness
I had the Shoyu Ramen with chicken. Really nice flavors. Their spicy sauce was good.
We had gone during lunch and the place was crowded. Our food arrived quickly though.
It is difficult to look for their menu online. Too many pictures of menus posted by people and the owner. You don't really understand which one to look at.
Overall, a good ramen place. I like it!
4 stars because I have had really good ramen in NYC.
Some of the best ramen around, always great food, the tonkotsu with the marinated egg is the best. Always generous portions for a reasonable price. Definitely going to miss this place when I'm not here for school anymore
