There's no substitute.. When I think of fried chicken there's only one place that comes to mind, Pollards. This is one of the older locations and it's been here in Norfolk since I was a child. The building they're in now was a BK years ago, the original location was about a half mile up the road.

We walked in and ordered a 16 piece deal w/ a Groupon. That also included 4 sides and a bunch of puff's. The thing that I've always really appreciated about Pollards is they make the meal when you order it. The wait was about 20 minutes, but so worth it when we arrived home and opened everything up. Gut busting delicious! Check them out, you'll be glad you did.

I have been eating here for years. This location by far has the best fried chicken in town. Chicken is cooked to order and unlike the previous comment eluded to they DO NOT use a heat lamp to keep chicken warm. Prices have gone up as has most every other eatery in town. Very clean.
