Absolutely the best middle Eastern food I have eaten, in the United States. I have searched far and wide for authentic middle Eastern food in the states. Many states. This one is the real deal!! Emud and all the others were very kind and accommodating. Very nice and friendly. Emud is a beautiful soul, and he projects it thorough his kindness and his food. They have a very extensive buffet and the very best schawarma I have eaten....ever!!! This is the kind of man that will remember you after only one visit. Even though this is a buffet, they were happy to give us the remainder of our hummes and extra fresh bread to go. Also boxed all of our leftovers to go. We are visiting in Charleston, but will definitely visit Istanbul Everytime we come back. We look forward to a long lasting relationship with Emud and Istanbul Shish Kabob Buffet. I encourage you to visit this wonderful Restraunt, often and with an empty stomach. You will leave with a wonderfully miserable full belly. Tell Emud i said hello.
Last night, Jay and I were able to squeeze in a dinner date without kids. We tried Istanbul Shish kabob Buffet. It was amazing and a great new food experience for us. One of the chef's noticed us at the buffet and could tell we had no idea what any of the food was. He came over and walked us through the appetizer bar and suggested to come back with another plate when we were done. When we walked back up, he then walked us through the entree' side of the buffet. He was so helpful and i am so glad he did that bc we had no idea what anything was. And it was all so delicious! We will be going back! I never post about food, restaurants, or experiences. But, this place is definitely worth the post.
It was absolutely lovely experience. This is a family business restaurant, where they serve fresh and delicious food. The service was quick and generous. We definitely want to come again and invite our friends later. The only thing that would recommend improving is the salad side plate, was a little bit miss presented.
Amazing food! Huge portions!
This is a casual place with great middle eastern food!
We ordered a small appetizer place which was huge and delicious, fresh greek salad and sandwich with kofta which is a grounded lamb meet.
Also we had a pistachio bahlava for dessert and it was sooo good!
Definitely recommend this place!
What a wonderful experience! Was there on 10/18/2023 with my daughter for her birthday. Never had Palastinian food before, and it was quite delicious!
Waitress was super nice. I let her order for me. I love to be surprised. Most wait staff at other restaurants seem to fear that, but she smiled right away and gave me the confidence that whatever she brought was gonna be great.
They do start you with a small, what I'm guessing was complimentary; little dish of pita with sides of either garlic based condiment, what I'd call a Mediterranean cole slaw (cabbage and corn mix), and some green olive mixture. I hate green olives, but this stuff was awesome and you can tell they're super fresh. The waitress said the olives were imported from Jerusalem. Wonderful taste over store bought!
My dish was a combination of beef, rice and a side of what appeared to be freshly diced tomatoes and cucumber. Unique flavors and the meat had just a hint of spice to it the waitress said was jalapeno. I cleaned my plate.
All and all, a wonderful experience and I'd certainly return in my next visit to the Charleston area. And for dinner for three, it was less than $50, not including tip. Would highly recommend!
Delicious and fresh food. The bread is so yummy. The lamb was flavorful. I enjoyed the humus, salads and kabobs. I have been here a few times and will be back again. I also love their coffee!
This place is just amazing, the food is above expectations, I have been in many Arabic places before, but I never had that authentic taste I am enjoying in this place ,people here are very nice the owners are very humble and welcoming the restaurant is clean and quiet ,,, is the place that I would visit again and again if I get the chance to be in Charleston.شكرا على كرم الضيافة
A must visit in Charleston. We’ve gone back because the quality of the food has been well maintained. I like the mix grill with all of their kabobs and their sauces are so fresh! Great service and atmosphere. Will be going back.
The Mix Grill for 2 is enough for our family of four. We also got the appetizer of baba ghanoush, hummus, tzaziki, and stuffed grape leaves. If you like sweet tea, theirs is great.
Authentic. Flavor food. They give you a free appetizer with homemade pita garlic butter and a corn coleslaw salad.
And olives . The rice was flavored it was wonderful with a mediterranean spices cinnamon nut meg. Legit mediterranean. My only complaint they have Jerusalem salad which is nice but I really crave the tabuli which I feel is most authentic And so freshing and good for your gut. I can't get tubuli anywhere else. Love the garlic butter. That's also hard to find unless it's an authentic mediterranean setting.
Amazing experience! We decided on the Shwarma and some Kabobs. It was all wonderful! The Hummus and Garlic dip are the stars of the show. The bread is soft and fluffy. The cucumber in the salad is crisp and refreshing. The server was so kind and provided awesome service. This place is 10 out of 10 all around!
