This was my first time eating here and definitely will not be my last. Our server Malik was so engaging with us 3 adults and even the 4 children!! And oh my gosh, the chicken and cheese with Malik’s special edition was sooo on point!!! Thanks for making the ending to this night a pleasurable experience!!
I discovered Mellow Mushroom in Jax Beach, FL in 2012. Well, Yankee and nerd that I am, I had been planning to go to Charleston (IOP) to see the eclipse for years, and made it a point to hit a Mellow Mushroom while in the area, as the pizza we had in Jax was the best I ever had. We ended up going for lunch on our way to the airport on the last day.
So, we had a party of 13, Jimmy and the server were great, the drinks were great, and after the way I had hyped the pizza, I thought there was no way it could be as good as I had been dreaming about. And that was true.
It was better!
Best pizza I ever had. We had five different ones, everyone kept trying one of each, everyone raved. The Holy Shiitake is the greatest pizza in the history of Earth. I could write about it forever. But until my next trip southward, I'll just enjoy the memories and hope against hope that they open a location up here in Massachusetts.

The pizza is good. The crust is a great combination of crispy and chewy. The order took over 45 minutes to get. And we got the pretzel bites, which was pizza dough shaped like pretzels. So, not pretzels. Got the shitake pizza. Very good, nice with lots of garlic flavor. Also got the house special. It was good too. The service was just lacking. I've been here twice, one time good and one time not so good.

The pizza is so good! You can tell the ingredients for the crust are fresh! We always order enough so we have leftovers to take home as well.
First time trying this pizza place, and it was amazing. The atmosphere was great and the staff was pleasant. Big screen televisions on every wall and huge dining area. I got the funky q chicken pizza with bacon, and my husband got the mighty meats pizza, and our son got the pepperoni pizza. Our server was excellent and checked on us often. Definitely will return to try the other menu items they have. There are plenty of appetizers and burgers and wings on the menu. A+++
Good food. Great service. Good atmosphere. I ordered the cloud 9 chicken wings and the equivalent to a Supreme pizza called the house special. I had ranch with my wings and also good for dipping the pizza crust. Speaking of crust, the pizza had more crust than I desired. Could have cooked the pizza a couple of more minutes longer. Wings were delicious. I had water. Recommend and will return.

Solid 4 on this pizza! They have a wide variety of toppings and the staff are attentive and thoughtful. Great vibe. I've had better crusts, but I've also had worse ones. Drinks are mostly made from mid-shelf liquor (think Tito's) but are balanced well. Ten televisions in the main sitting area, so there's a lot going on visually. I would definitely go here again.
First time visiting this pizza place and I had a good experience so far. I liked that you can actually make your own pizza with any ingredients and any size. Prices are considerable and decent. Staff is super friendly as well.
Nice restaurant for a tasty family dinner! Had the sweet thai chili oven roasted wings and a pizza. We really enjoyed everything. Love the beer selection and we got to watch some hockey too while we enjoyed our dinner. Friendly service too. Thanks!
We love Mellow Mushroom restaurants and try to visit them wherever we go. This one was top tier. The atmosphere was great, even on a busy night. The food was phenomenal, and so was the service. Will absolutely be back. The funk q. pizza, NEVER disappoints!

I've been going to Mellow Mushroom for about 10 years now, across several locations in Charleston, and it's one of my favorite pizza places. The North Charleston location is that trendy, chill hipster pizza place where you wanna meet up with your friends for a pie and drinks on a Saturday night, with the added bonus of its convenient location close to the airport, hotels, and the outlets. They always have an interesting selection of beers on tap, their pies are funky takes on classic flavors, AND they also have delicious non-dairy cheese options for those of us that shouldn't have cheese but have that craving for pizza anyway!
