Smokies is by far one of the BEST places in town to get a kick butt burger. Cold brew and catch some Blues every Sunday Night from 5 till 9pm.
A full menu and many great drinks and just an all out great place to have some dinner, some libations and live entertainment.
Clearly one of Charlestons best kept secrets!
The burgers were great, but at $12 w/onion rings it was a little expensive for a burger from a bar.

Very ecclectic live music all thru the month, open Mic, two pool tables, restaurant, full bar, large selection. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, set back in a strip mall off Remount rd and North Rhett in North Charleston not far from the Naval weapons station. Looks to be a large local watering hole. The burger was exceptional with the spicy curly fries. It was a great price. If you're ever in this area it's worth stopping in for a beer and a burger and I imagine the rest of their food is probably just as good.
Pulled into the shopping center to shop, we seen the sign for the best burgers in town. As always we have to try the best burger in town.
Okay, so the sign was correct. The burgers are excellent. Cooked to perfection. The battered shrimp are also very good.
Even the service was excellent. The server/bartender her name is Sarah I hope I have the correct spelling of her name, if not I do apologize. Sarah is awesome, she is very energetic and personable. She has a very beautiful spirit about her.
The do offer a full menu. The prices are very reasonable. Sorry for not including photos like I usually do but we do highly recommend Smokey's Place for a really good burger.
So if you find yourself in the neighborhood that includes all of the truck drivers that stay at the Pilot truck stop you should stop in at Smokey's Place for a real home cooked meal.

Great food/atmosphere Monday-Saturday and as a Bonus on Sunday they have outstanding musicians playing at the Low Country Blues Jam every Sunday. The burgers are outstanding but my favorite is the Chicken Fingers, fresh never frozen. Good place!
LOVE THIS PLACE!! They have excellent food! From the comfort kind like their Loaded Mashed Potatoes to eating on the edge like the Yummo Buffalo Wings and fish tacos on Taco Tuesdays, which is also "Beach Blanket Bingo" night! I've gone many times and each time was a LOT of fun!!

Really enjoyed visiting this spot for my birthday. Great bartender, patrons, & owner! The food was pleasing! I'll be Bach and they will be Beethoven... Ha good humor is here, so go!
It was great being there this evening. Very good entertainment with the Mason Dixon Band and no smoking atmosphere, which is a major plus for me since I quit smoking 20 plus years ago. Thanks, Smokey, for such a great time tonight!
The atmosphere is great and the people are fantastic. Burgers are delicious, And I like that's it's mixture of all races , but I realize that the southern people are sweet compared to northern. And I'm a northern..If You like the blues that's the place to be.
Great bartender, he was so welcoming and humble. Great food, drinks and nice live band music. Also one of the cleanest restroom of all time. Great job you deserve 10*
1st time going there and the burgers were do awsome. Sarah waited on us and she was fantastic! ! Good sense of humor.. and when we left everyone in the place said goodbye to us!!! Loved it!! Will definitely go back..a lot!! Lol
Great locals bar & grill. Love the salad! Wings, fish! Has unique blues musicians playing a variety of Blues Tunes switched up musicians taking turns performing together.
