Awesome sandwich!. We stopped here because we saw in the window that they had Philly cheese steaks and my son loves them. The place was clean and the menu was huge! I saw so many delicious sounding sandwiches that it took me awhile to make up my mind. I finally settled on The Key West - chicken, avocado, mango chutney... Mmmmm! Oh, and my son said the cheese steak was good as well. ;-)
Stopped by East Bay during lunch rush and it didn’t take long for me to place an order. The menu had plenty of items to choose from for lunch, which is great! I ordered the Citadel and was not disappointed.
Stopped during lunch rush. Service was pretty quick despite the semi-long line, and the cashier was friendly and helpful. I got the Tessa Turkey and was NOT disappointed, it was DELICIOUS! The fries were pretty good, although nothing really special despite the light seasoning they had on them. I'll definitely be back to try other sandwiches!

The food here is always awesome. Fast service even when busy. My only complaint is often when they make the sandwiches, the Citadel for example, they don't make them even on both sides of the cut. One side of the sandwich is meat heavy and the other side is mostly bread. I'd like to eat an even sandwich. Sometimes they just throw the bacon on anywhere.
It was so good!!!! I ate all my sandwich on the drive home!!!! I got The Citadel on croissant rolls instead of toasted wheat bread. People were honking their horns at me, but I didn’t care! And the cake? To die for! The lady who assist me and took my order was so kind and helpful. I left my wallet home, and she helped me with Apple Pay. Highly recommend!
Whenever I am in the Lowcountry I order takeout from the North Charleston/Dorchester Rd. East Bay Deli, as it is close to my Dad's house. And while the food has been consistently good, I can honestly say the staff are even better!
On one of my first visits, April (who's father is retired Air Force) asked if I was a veteran (I am also a retired U.S. Air Force veteran), and since that time I have sincerely appreciated the 10% discount East Bay Deli offers to veterans and active duty military.
On my most recent visit to East Bay Deli (9/6/22), I mentioned to April that I was volunteering to clean headstones at the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery as part of the VA National Cemeteries' National Day of Service on September 9th, to mark the 21st anniversary of 9/11 attacks. I needed a 5-gallon bucket for this day of service, and I asked her if I could have one of their pickle buckets I had seen in their recycling bin out back? She checked with her manager (Tara?) and returned with a clean bucket for me to use, again showing that East Bay Deli supports veterans! I encourage everyone, no matter their status to, in-turn, support East Bay Deli!
Attached are a couple of photos taken at the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, which is the final resting place of 9,000 veterans from all the military services, some of whom made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
The Citadel and The Carolina sandwiches are excellent. The grilled Chicken Caesar salad was a decent size, with fresh greens and an abundance of meat. So many things I'd like to try on the menu, so I'll definitely be back.
Love the vibes in here! Bunch of old signs and posters, the food smell is great, and the staff are super nice! Food is great and seating is good! Bathrooms are one person at a time, so I could see a busy day being tough on bathroom lines, but no big deal at all!!
Friendly staff. Tuna was really good. Chili has a not homemade taste.
I wasn't a huge fan of the Italian mix, the Italian dressing reminded me of Kraft or something which is kinda sweet and just wasn't a good quality. Oil and vinegar would have been better. The meat was also in thick slices which made it super salty and harder to eat. All about preference though...I'm sure their signature sandwiches like the Philly are delicious though.
