If you're from Cincinnati, Ohio you need come try out their Cincinnati style chili! It's homemade and delicious! Their 2 egg breakfast plate was not lacking; with eggs cooked to order, sausage links, hash browns and a southern style biscuit. It's the best of both worlds, a place where the North and the South can find common ground with excellent food. The service and staff are wonderful, friendly and quick to assist. Thank you!
P.s. I never review anything, so this should say something about how happy I was with this home-style, hole-in-the-wall.
My favorite weekday lunch place! Love the food, the prices and the speedy service. The staff is awesome. Tameka and Pete are fun and accommodating. Everything I have tried has been exceptional. The tea excellent. I never want to leave.
Had the Special of the day, a pasta platter with garlic bread, excellent. Lunch time service is fast and professional. They had 60s music playing, Animals, and Jefferson Airplane. All over good food, cold ice tea, and nice people. Will visit again soon.
No frills spot with fantastic lunch options.
This place is solid. Two can eat for under $20, the aesthetics are cool and simple - an extension of the name. I had a couple of chili cheese coneys and fries, with a sweet tea and it was all on point. The fries are correct! My friend got the chicken salad on croissant and said, “it’s the best chicken salad I’ve ever had”. So, there’s that. I’ll be back often!
UPDATE: I took Mr. Pete up on his offer and I must say it was a huge improvement. While they were out of shrimp gumbo they did suggest SheCrab soup for my friend who was delighted to see that the portion size was bigger this go round. She said it was really good. As for me I did a repeat of the Cheeseburger and fries. This time without the chili. The food came out fast and hot. I didn’t recall my last burger having two patties. I had to remove one and still couldn’t finish my basket.
My friend and I concur that the sweet tea is absolutely delicious. Overall this was a huge improvement. Thanks and have a Blessed Holiday.
I think I came on an off day; meaning they didn’t really have it together. The food is reasonably priced and it’s a very quaint setting making the atmosphere somewhat comfortable. I ordered a cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. I suppose I’m not a fan of Cincinnati Chili bc it appeared to be black and taste like sugar and cumin. My friend ordered a cup of shrimp gumbo and the portion size could probably fill up a 3 year old. My daughter had the hot dog and fries. The hot dog was over cooked and burnt tasting gristle. Granted the man who may have been a manager offered to remake it, I think I was at my limit and cut my losses. They did give my daughter a cookie which she enjoyed. I think it might be a great place to eat if they got their program together and perhaps paid attention to the quality of food going out.
Great place for a fast lunch. Very inexpensive and good n the table in a hurry. Good place for a fast workday lunch.
Great food and the server Paris is awesome. Very friendly.
Quick breakfast spot. Everyone was super nice and the omelets were fantastic. Grits aren't my thing no matter how long we been here. Everything was perfect and filling for a 3hr drive home.
Nice little spot, friendly people and very quick service!! I can say I had the Cincinnati chili now but I believe next time I will go with something different. The coney dog was delicious although I suspect they had a little bit of the Cincinnati Chili on it. Beware that that chili does have cinnamon on it and it is different from most chili's. Not that there's anything wrong with that! And a very big plus is a also had Guinness!! I'll be back
