This place may look a little shabby from the outside, but don't let that turn you away - the food is absolutely delicious! My son and I got one of the shrimp and crab leg boils while my mom got a fried shrimp basket. Hushpuppies as an app. Every single thing we got was great! Our waitress and all the staff were very attentive. Would definitely put this restaurant's food up against similar restaurants in the area.
Food was good. Service was efficient enough but was certainly not particularly warm. There was some "questionable" graffiti in the men's room that if I were the owner, I would remove immediately. Also odd that there was no alcohol service. Most seafood sit-down restaurants in the area do serve alcohol.
Walked in with a bottle of Jack. Had put it to the side to take with me but when the server came to my table she asked me if I wanted any ice or mixers for it. To my surprise they let you drink your own whiskey! The service was friendly and fast. The food was delicious. The fried oysters were exceptionally good!
The sauce is tasty, the atmosphere is pleasant and the service was nice.
I like the different flavors to choose from for my sauce. The house was my choice, plus you get to apply how hot you would like your sauce, mild is good enough for me.
The restaurant appears clean, love the graffiti on the walls. This restaurant have no alcohol license, but you are allowed to bring In your own bottle of wine. Nice ambience.
My server was very nice and engaging she comes by often to check on my table to make sure we need anything more. Wish I had gotten her name.
All in all I would recommend Redcrab 👌🏿
Food, service and prices are great! You are also able to bring your own drinks Building is a bit run down but clean. The steamed combos are the best…so tasty

The hotel we were staying at recommended as we didn’t want to go back to downtown Charleston and find a parking place. I was hesitant when I saw it but we went in. Waitress was amazing - very helpful with the unfamiliar selections. Food was absolutely delicious! This is a chain - the one in Charleston is a BYOB -no alcohol served but you can bring in. As you can see - we ate it all! We ordered the crab legs, shrimp and lobster tail and added an extra tail. It was plenty of food for 2. Interesting presentation in a plastic bag! 😂
We love this place. I thought I had already reviewed it but I was wrong. The seafood is fresh. The seasoning is perfect (juicy special). I'm a shrimp lover so the shrimp lovers special is my go to. The hubby likes the lowcountry boil. They give you plenty and the prices are reasonable. The best seafood boil restaurant in Charleston. JMO! 🍤🦀
Absolutely DELICIOUS food!!! Some of the best shrimp we've ever had with VERY affordable prices. If you're looking for a great seafood restaurant....this is it!!!
Everything was great. One minor problem: I requested boiled egg with my crab bag, but didn't receive it. I don't believe I was charged for it either, so it wasn't a complete fail. Overall experience was pretty good.
