Small intimate hidden French restaurant. Recommend reservations. In same strip as Thai Spice, but almost impossible to see from Commercial Blvd. Only 8 tables, 3-2s, 4-4s & a 6. Small traditional French menu and a few daily specials. We shared & enjoyed the escargot appetizer( choice of 4) and the French onion soup(2 other choices). Husband, wife and chef are only staff. Friendly and semi-attentive and a little slow. Apologized for wait and enquire d at least twice about our satisfaction. Food was delicious. Save room for dessert. Will return!!

So after reading about Escargot Bistro,, for years and years, we were finally able to get the family together. It was so wonderful, just delectable. We scoured the menu so many times before even arriving. Went back to all of the recommendations for menu items from this page. There were 7 of us. It is owned by a French couple and their son. The son was our server. He was personable, funny and got all of our orders right. They even had specials that weren’t on their menu. We tried a few. Everything was phenomenal from the appetizers, entrees, desserts and coffee. Names of dishes in the captions. Of course the owners knew about this page. They smiled when we mentioned it. Such a quaint place which is rare nowadays. Not pictured, French Onion Soup, the Brie in a puffed pastry with fruit, Steak frittas, baskets of unlimited delicious French bread, pear cake which had the consistency of bread pudding and was a special that night, warm goat cheese with honey crepe and lastly a banana split that my dad says was the highlight. I have seen this said many times on this page and now i understand, the food that was not pictured was so scrumptious, we ate it and then remembered we didn’t get a pic. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I can not say enough about this restaurant…it is nothing short of amazing! I started with the Escargot Au Gratin, which was a delightful blend of Escargot, artichoke, spinach baked with a Bechamel Sauce and topped with cheesy goodness!! Yum! My friend had the traditional Eacargot which were excellent as well. For my main entree, I had the Beef Bourguignon which was perfectly seasoned and served over fettuccine. Very delicious! My friend had the Fish of the day which was light and flaky on the inside with a crispy herbed coating on the outside. We paired these dishes with a very nice robust Pinot Noir. For desert we had the Crepe Suzette which is served flambé at the table. I had this with a very tasty glass of Port wine. Our service was excellent. When my friend could not decide which wine to pick, the waiter gave us a tasting of 3 wines to choose from! Everyone who works there stops by your table to see how you are doing. The interior is very quaint here. Red leather chairs and French home decor make you feel like you are in the middle of Paris! I felt at home here. I will definitely be back!

The food here is PHENOMENAL!!!! Owned by a wonderful French family. The menu has a little bit of everything including a few delicious variations of escargot. Make a reservation before visiting as there are limited tables. I cannot wait to return !

We just moved to the area from NYC where we had quite a bit of great French food (our favorite cuisine). Moved down to Florida and have been looking for our staple French spot - and we have found it at Escargot Bistro! This is by far the best FOOD (not just French) that we have had since moving down. The cozy vibe, complimented by Didier and Andrea’s hospitality transports you right to France in a little cafe. Couldn’t recommend it more highly, and so glad we live close so we will be regulars! Must go!

Amazing place ! The owner Stephan is super cool and welcoming and his wife Angela is a spectacular chef! I came in here after a day at the beach with my family and everything I tried was magnificent! They have lunch specials, nice decorations, large variety of dessert options and daily specials ! As the restaurant's name suggests their escargot is very yummy. I had their baked escargot and a chicken crepe. It was very filling and I couldn't even finish. All the dishes come with a salad and side sauces. Their french onion soup was wonderful and everything is handmade. And to finish all we had a Lavazza coffee with a chocolate profiterole. Top quality food and top quality service.

If you are in the mood for French food in Ft. Lauderdale, this should be your go to spot! We dined here for the first time and every course from appetizers to dessert were delectable. We started with the crab cake special on a bed of greens with a cream sauce with a hint of horseradish and the apples with brie on a puff pastry. We could not decide which one was better as they were so different but we thoroughly enjoyed both...For the main entrée we had the fish special and the beef bourguignon. The white fish had a buttery texture that melted in your mouth and the tarragon mushroom cream sauce complimented it perfectly. The beef bourguignon was slow cooked to perfection and served over pasta. We finished with the dessert specials-- the floating island with meringue, roasted almonds and a delicious vanilla cream and a pear cake/pudding in a cream sauce. This meal was as close to perfection as possible with every dish excelling in it's own unique flavor profile. It is a family run authentically French restaurant. They are all so friendly and invested in the dining experience they provide. The ambiance is quaint and adds to the experience. Do yourself and your taste buds a favor and pay them a visit. You will be sure to want to return as we certainly will! Thank you for a wonderful experience...
