I’m not I can do this place by writing about it. But I’ll try.
My cousin who is a chef found this place on diners dives and drive in’s. On a whim we decided to go. We arrived at about 8’oclock on a Saturday. It isn’t the biggest place due to the fact. It shares a seating area with 3-4 other small restaurants. And so it’s called a marketplace. Once we arrived there where names of all sorts of Mexican food to choose from. Some with slight variations. But with the one ultimate goal. To create great Mexican food.
I was first amazed at the menu and drink choices. In a instant I could tell that these people had genuine idea of what they were attempting to accomplish. And any time this happens to me I get giddy. I breath and deep. I hope the flavors and combinations of foods. Live up to what I’m reading and understanding what I’m about to eat.
Is asked the sweet young lady at the counter. What’s good??? Cause I was definitely having trouble. She recommended the pork belly. I took it.
My cousin ordered the green pozole.
My cousin being a chef to his first bite of his pozole. I took my first bite of my pork belly. And we didn’t say a word for about 1 minute. Just looked at each other in disbelief and awe. We’ve found a diamond. Speaking without words. We just shook our heads taken back. I told him to take a bite of my pork belly taco. And I tasted his green pozole. And then it happened again. 1 minute. We then tasted our michelada and once again, magic. This we just looked at each other for about 20 seconds.
It was a place of culinary genius. We met the chef a very nice woman with roots back to Mexico City. I another met another woman in corner of the open kitchen area making tortillas by hand and cutting an onion. I thanked her for the job she does and that she does it well. We where then gifted two mole tacos to share by the chef and it was another amazing experience. And we were giving guava tarts on our table. I must say anything and everything we ate was just amazing.
Myself and cousin went to Mexico City last year and this woman at Cosecha has mastered the art.
Eat well
All of us chef's have folks we are inspired by, my local inspiration is Chef Dominique from Cosecha. Yesterday I got to introduce some of the most important people in my life to her. She is a breath of fresh air in a polluted world. It isn't an easy task being a female chef in a male dominated profession, but this women if proof that hard work and passion really pay off. The food she makes dances in your mouth like lovers under the moonlight.
go here, eat her food, and you will be happy

Absolutely a must!! Pork Belly tacos with homemade corn tortillas, Oaxaca Quesadilla , and Jicama Citrus Salas are full of flavor. Loved the casual style seating and availability to order a beer or margarita with our food.
