My husband and I hosted our son's first birthday at Meta last Saturday without ever trying the restaurant. I can't begin to express how much we loved everything about them!! Roberto, the owner, was a pleasure to work with from day 1. He was extremely accommodating and reassuring that everything would be perfect.
The food was outstanding and the services was great! I don't recall the names of the gentlemen that worked the party, but they were very attentive to myself and all the guests. Everything went without a glitch.
I cannot wait to go back!
I recently dined with my wife at Meta Italian restaurant in Oceanside to celebrate my birthday.
Its not the first time we've been there. But as always it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly waitstaff who truly enhanced our visit. The food was exceptional, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen. The wine selection is impressive, offering a perfect complement to our meal. What truly sets Meta apart was the personal touch of the owner Roberto, who take time to visit tables and engage with customers. Its not everyday you find an owner so dedicated to ensuring a memorable dining experience. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, making it an ideal spot with a warm ambiance. Meta is undoubtedly one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. You will not be disappointed.

There could have been more veal parm on the plate but still tender and tasty. Loved the sauce.
Pop Pop's Pasta was awesome! Just the right blend of flavors and the garlic & oil has been perfected. Idk the base for the meatballs but the raisin and pine nut are virtually undetectable! 😋

We ate here the Saturday before mother's day. Made a reservation at 5 for 7 people(two were children under 5yrs). Highly reccomend a reservation because by the time we left it was packed! Ordered the calamari, bruschetta, pot of mussels and crab cappuccino (that was just my dads) to start. Everyone shared and it was just right. The veal chop sole was awesome and filling. The shrimp limoncello and peroni battered shrimp got good reviews from the table. The duck was very sweet and the chicken parm was hearty and delicious. Everything was paired with the Santa Maria Pinot Grigio. My mom was raving for the affagado espresso float but substituted the coffee with Kalua. Overall everyone enjoyed themselves and were happy. Our waitress was awesome as well. Susan I think.
My boyfriend took me here for Valentine's Day and we had an amazing time. The food was incredible. We had the bag of donuts appetizer that I highly recommend. For our entrees I had the snapper over risotto and he had the salmon and spinach over risotto . They were both delicious and we cleaned our plates! We also ordered a bottle of the tommasi white wine that I also recommended. This place is a great place to take someone on a date . I will definitely return one day in the future
Food was good. We had a few appetizers to start with at our table with friends. Eggplant Meatballs were good. We had the Baby Clams.. sauce was very thick compared to other clam dishes of white wine , butter, olive oil. “DONUTS” shrimp balls was good. Veal Chop was okay, thick brown sauce.. maybe a cheese base with Mash Potatoes which tasted more like mashed from a box. Rockfish was good. Service was excellent. We had Pistachio Tartufo and warm dark chocolate brownies with Vanilla / Chocolate Gelato.
A wonderfully unique take on favorite Italian dishes. The lobster "cappuccino" bisque is one of the best things you'll ever taste.
1st time here and the service plus food quality match up with the consistent high ratings. Looking forward to coming again.
We have patronized this establishment for a number of years and had gone to Robert's previous restaurant CIELO in Rockville Centre as well. The service is always welcoming and impeccable. The food is always scrumptious from salads and soups thru entrees and deserts. Never a bad meal and you can't plan on losing any weight dining here! Perfect for a celebration and there is also a private party room. Reasonably priced, delicious food, a generous Black Friday sale on Gift certificates every year the day after Thanksgiving...my only suggestion? They should dim the lights down just a tiny tweak to create a more intimate ambiance. One of our favs and you can't go wrong!
