Food was really good, I had the Maryland Chicken that I seen was recommended in reviews and it was really good and my wife was happy with fish and chips ….Service was slow so dedicate a few hours for a meal but worth it if you got the time….7/10
First time at Lucky's. We've tried going multiple times before, but they are always busy at dinner time. We finally made it in last week.
I really like the atmosphere of Lucky's. It's a cool hangout spot that is also comfortable for dining. Our server told us she was new and asked for forgiveness if she seemed "off," but she did an amazing job for us and the tables around us that she was serving.
The drink menu was nice and reasonably priced. I ordered the chicken gnocchi with a side of au gratin potatoes. My wife ordered a chicken entree with bacon and peppers.
My meal was good, although the chicken was kind of dry and lacked flavor. The gnocchi was great. Potatoes were good, but again, they felt like they lacked salt and seasonings. My wife really liked her chicken dish, but broccoli tasted too watery. None of the food was bad enough that we didn't eat it. it just felt like the spice rack wasn't used enough. Overall, great service, good prices, good food. We'll be back again.
Friday night 4:00 pm visit and restaurant was packed. Our waiter Zacary did an amazing job even when the bar side was full and everyone was ordering dinner.. Drinks were served fast and food was served fast and it was hot. Excellent service and food. We had the parmesan crusted grouper, with the bacon balsamic Brussels sprouts (yum) French onion soup and dynamite shrimp appetizer. Everything was really good!
I think this now the best chicken salad in the area. So worth it. Amazing. Check them out. They're closed on Mondays though.
Came for lunch and ordered the Maryland Chicken, with a cup of French onion soup and the fettuccine Alfredo side. Additionally, the table had the appetizer sampler and calamari. The sampler was huge and decently tasty. The French onion soup was delicious; very flavorful broth. The Maryland Chicken dish was good, but not great. The crab/shrimp topping was very flavorful and not overpowering. The "grilled" asparagus which came with the dish was a bit woody and had no evidence of being grilled (no char or grill marks). The fettuccine alfredo was not very warm when it arrived, and the sauce was uninspired. I also ordered a slice of their carrot cake, which was great as always. The service was good; no issues outside of the food being a touch less than warm.
After doing a little research this location kept coming up as Lansings top 5 steaks, so we had to try. Arrived for a date night at about 5 on a Sunday. The service was a little slow but the food was great. The table bread was phenomenal, inconveniently served in a bag but delicious. We ordered stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they were pretty good filled with a crabcake type filling. We both ordered medium rare steaks (different cuts) and one came out pretty well done. We opted to take it home to grandma who loves a good overcooked steak (and boy did she enjoy it). The top sirloin must be what everyone was talking about because it was amazing and large enough to feed two. Seriously we have talked about how perfectly the one steak was cooked and we will return for the great value. I will return for the medium rare top sirloin for sure.
I cannot tell you how often I have been disappointed by an overcooked or flavorless steak. That was not the case here. This steak was perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth, and full of flavor. The Brussels sprouts were amazing. Our waiter (I wish I had caught his name) was amazing. The place was packed, but he showed up to fill our glasses as soon as they were empty without us feeling like he was hovering. All of this, and the prices were reasonable on top of everything else. I highly recommend.
The overall experience was great. While the steak, cheesecake, and stuffed mushrooms were great, the red-skin mashed potatoes I feel were an instant mix.
Can definitely recommend a few of their menu items though. Their cheesecake is also made in-house which is very good.
Not sure what’s up with the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Average with this place!? My girlfriend and I are new to the area so we wanted to celebrate the move here, and couldn’t of asked for a better experience! Our server Justin was hospitable and personable. He talked to us for over five minutes about the area and made us feel comfortable. Our steaks were cooked to perfection! *chefs kiss* And I’ve had a lot of calamari in my day, but Lucky’s ‘shoestring calamari’ are definitely the best I’ve ever had! Happy to of visited and will definitely be back soon!
We love to come to come for Happy Hour. The prices are great but the food is even better. We come right at 3 before it gets real busy. We love to sit in the outside patio because of covid.
The cosmopolitans are very good. We really enjoy the flat breath pizzas. We also love the bread here. It's the best!
The waitresses are always friendly.
