Mahogany Prime Steakhouse Omaha

It's rare that I get to experience a place that gets 5 stars in every category. Everything was perfect. The place is smaller than I thought it would be but is active yet cozy at the same time. The lights were dimmed just right and the service was impeccable. Our glasses were never below half full. The dirty dishes were taken away after each course. Our server, who was very friendly and professional ( I wish I could remember his name) , even took the time to scrap away any food that may have fallen on the table as we made our way to the main entre. We had the lobster cargot as the appetizer and it was so creamy and buttery. The lobster was cooked and seasoned to perfection. My wife had the pan seared sea bass. We both agreed that it was the best non battered fish we had ever tasted. The texture was so soft and fluffy. The fish melted in our mouths. Unbelievable. I had the rack of lamb. It was so tasty and cooked just the way I ordered it. The meat was so juicy and tender. It was the 2nd best lamb I've ever had and that ain't bad. Our sides were potatoes and chives, Mac n cheese and spinach ricotta. Everything was delicious. For dessert we had the carrot cake and the featured cheesecake of the night. The carrot cake was thick , just sweet enough and the icing was amazing. The cheesecake was good but I've had better. Overall everything was a delight. 5 stars all around.
