Umami Japanese Barbeque offers a delightful all-you-can-eat buffet experience where you become the chef at your own table. The selection of meats, including Ribeye, NY Strip, and Wagyu beef, is a carnivore's dream. The interactive grilling experience adds a fun element to the dining, and the variety of sides complements the meats perfectly. It's a fantastic opportunity to enjoy delicious food while engaging in great conversations. Just be prepared for the temptation to overindulge – I practically needed assistance leaving due to the irresistible offerings!
This is the closest you will get to Yakiniku in Utah. There is a good variety of meats that are well worth the price. The sauces are a bit too sweet though, in my opinion. The service could have been better, as none of our empty plates were cleared from the table and our grill was never changed. I would also suggest having a pair of scissors at each table to but meat into smaller pieces.
This place has definitely an experience with it. The food is very good! And if your a carnivore who eats animals as his favorite food like me then they have plenty here! My favorite is the cow meats they have! But the pigs and chickens are so good too! The grills at tables make it really fun especially with other people. It’s kinda expensive but when I think about it, it’s the same price as eating two fast food combo meals! I have only eaten here during dinner! It’s one of my favorite restaurants honestly! Also if Chris is working tell him hi! I recommend Umami for the experience
10/10 service! They had so many different kinds of meats and foods to try. Fun for the kids to cook their own food. Decent price for lunch.
First time at Umami, and I must say it was fantastic. My son and I went for Saturday lunch. On the weekend it's the dinner menu all weekend but it was worth it! Waygu, Ribeye, and short ribs are a couple of items that are exclusive to the dinner menu. The Waygu was beautifully marbled and very tasty.
The price was 30 dollars for adults, 20 dollars for 11 and younger. They had a great assortment of drinks from Pepsi to those Japanese drinks that you smack the marble into the glass.
One I figured out the grill took a little bit to warm up, we were happy. Also there is a "cooked" bar so you can have sushi, pit stickers, shrimp, and an assortment of others things as your food cooks on the grill.
I would recommend just going with one other person for your first time. The grills are perfect size for 2 and 4 could be a crowd at one table. Also all the sauces we tried were amazing. I recommend the Seasame sauce they have at the table.
So much variety of meats you can choose from. They have great sides you can eat. The only thing I would say is that it’s not really roomy feels like there’s no space to eat. Other than that food taste great.
Always have great experiences here. The food is delicious and I love that it’s buffet style so you don’t have to wait to get more. Night recommend giving it a try! Only been here for lunch but I’m sure dinner is even better.
So delicious! Came here for our anniversary dinner and they have so many selections of marinated meats, veggies, fruit, brown& white rice, miso soup, curry, gyoza, and more! I loved their imported orange soda, it was delicious! Cory was a great waiter, overall worth the price! I’m stuffed!
We loved our experience here. We picked a perfect time, 3:45 pm for our meal. The timing allows for lunch rates, but access to the “dinner” premium meats that come out at 4:00 pm.
Lots of meat options. All the food we had was fresh. Cooking the meat at our own table allowed for the perfect cook every time. Two to a table allowed for the right amount of cooking to eating. Any more than that at the table and the food would be a little slower on per person basis.
Loves the sauces at the table and the dishes to hold them. Great experience all around.
I loved this place!! Delicious sauces and perfectly seasoned raw foods to flame grill at the table. I got the hot green tea which was a perfect match for the food. The fruits were fresh. Great service and atmosphere. It was $22 per person for all you can eat. Make sure to try the spicy pork belly and the spicy Korean chicken bulgogi.
