Went to Maxine’s after seeing great reviews including the Michelin Bib Gourmand rating and was blown away! Our server was kind, the cocktails were original and strong, and all of the food was incredible. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and when one of the Owners found out, he brought us complimentary champagne and even gave us a toast (one that rhymed!). We look forward to making our way through the rest of Maxine’s menu and many more date nights here :) Thank you to everybody for making our night special.
Great food and good drinks, but the service was slow. We didn't see our server until 15min after we sat down despite making a reservation. However, the restaurant owners were very friendly and apologetic after they found out. Prices are reasonable for the quality. They were even generous with the lobster on my lobster eggs benedict. I'd come back to try their dinner menu sometime.
We went to Maxine’s for the first time last night. What an experience! First, the decor is quirky and fun. The vibe was casual and relaxed. “Mr. Maxine” came around and was super welcoming. The service was perfect and the food was outstanding! We ate the appetizers before taking photos. I got the beet and arugula salad and my fiancé got the chorizo. We loved them and ate every morsel! The wine selection included some unique wines which were fun to try. One was a red sweet Italian wine that was served chilled. I loved it!
For dinner, I got the lobster ravioli which had scallops and shrimp and my fiancé got the trout. The flavors were perfectly delicious! But the star of the night were the desserts. I got the caramel cheesecake which was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had! And my fiancé got the key lime pie which he loved too.
We can’t wait to go back!
