Best Black Forest Cake I have had in Orlando. Very good pastries as well. Lives up to the gourmet name.
Cakes are delicious. Cookies are not very sugary and reasonably priced.

Love Charlie's Bakery Items - all of them - but I just don't get only making Parker House Soft Rolls - Must of us that shop there go because it is a Bakery and us Northerns never bought bakery items anywhere else - we would never think of buying them at the supermarket. A Baker is a very skilled and experienced profession, and we are use to a professional. So; can you imagine if they made Kaiser Hard Rolls and Jewish Rye sliced to order. For the last 36 years I wished this - maybe someday it will happen - if not it is just a dare shame - Without the baking or bread they are just not a full service bakery to us.
Great Bakery. Been around for many years & never has let me down on the quality & taste they provide in there pastries. =)
Addicted. Warning, if you go.... you will become addicted. REA L butter cream icing is their secret. No Publix whipped cream icing. Everything is good but I don't think you can beat a freah chocolate cupcake with white icing. Yum.

We've always loved their strawberry cake and decided to try the new award winning ice cream and it was good. 4 small cups with two scoops each was only around $20 so not a bad price. And they even sell it by the pint and gallon. The new owner also renovated the place and it's classier. Definitely drop by and give it a whirl. There isn't a place to sit other than a bench outside so we just took the ice cream home and ate it since we love nearby. Oh and also they provide color changing spoons with the ice cream!
Stopped by today with co-workers for the first time. It felt a little small when I first walked in, but when you look at the selection then you realize that they actually have tons of options.
I wasn't sure what to get and since I didn't feel like getting anything too sweet, I went with the Napoleon. It was still slightly sweeter than I expected, but it was not overwhelming.
I've already made it clear to my co-workers that we're going back so we can try different things.
Wow, wow, wow!! My daughters sent me a picture of the types of cake they wanted for their 19th birthday and they came out EXACTLY like the picture that was sent over to Charlie’s! And they didn’t just look nice, they were AMAZING! We got both strawberry 🍓 flavors; one strawberry filling and one strawberry mousse. WOW! 10/10. Thank you, Charlie’s Bakery for always meeting above expectations! We couldn’t take enough pictures of the cake. 😅 🎉🥳🎂
Great place that caters to those who want ice creams, cakes, cookies and cup cakes! Besides the regular vanilla and strawberry etc...they offer some unique flavors!
One of our favorite was Tahitian Vanilla Rum (Jamaican Rum) flavor ice cream...it's a must try!!
We'll definitely be returning to try some other flavors!
I grew up in Conway during the 80's. We went to Charlie's for our birthday cakes, Sunday morning pastries and sometimes just to get something sweet. When I got married I shared this bakery with my Mother-in-law who came to love it as much as I did. I did move away and am only able to visit here when I came back to see my Mom. I had heard that Charlie's had been sold and remodeled so when I was on that side of town today I decided to give it try. And while the shop had been updated the smell was just as I remembered and the selection was just as good. Then I saw it sitting in the refrigerated case. It was a blast from my past. The "Checkerboard Cake". I grabbed it and took it back to my kids up in Seminole County. They loved it and it was just as good as I remembered it being. Thanks for keeping true to the original.
I had a wonderful experience at Charlie’s! The staff is very friendly and pleasant. My fiance and I had never been there before and she let us try all of the ice cream flavors. Hands-down BEST homemade ice cream I have ever had! It is so creamy and all of the flavors are incredible…it was hard to choose!! My fiancé is not a big fan of ice cream and he walked away with not one, but two scoops because it was so good! Highly recommend!
I got to try their ice cream and nut brownie during the Whisky Business event. The non-dairy key lime pie has a very unique flavor for an ice cream, and I loved it. I also tried their almond joy flavor, which was balanced and enjoyable as well. I can’t wait to visit their location to try other flavors.
Amazing old fashioned bakery with a new twist. The ice cream is incredible and there are so many flavors to choose from. I’ve been coming here for 33 years and have never been disappointed. Enjoy!!

Pecan creole was like a mini pecan pie but better, not as sweet, flavor like a pecan log roll or divinities. Definitely good.
German chocolate cake, moist chocolate cake icing and coconut.
Peanut butter cheesecake was divine the topping was awesome a peanut butter chocolate caramel I think, over the new york cheesecake.
While everything I had was great tasting and I enjoyed them, I did feel that there was nothing special, and the prices felt high for value. Wish there had been bread I would have bought a loaf. Saw a lady come in after me mentioning "what happened to all the good things", I couldn't believe it, but did notice her later in the parking lot and she had made no purchase. Wonder what was missing or had changed.
