My wife and I took the long ride from New Smyrna Beach after we found this place searching for a cheese shop. We really miss the one like in Boston, MA! Although not quite the "cheese shop" we were hoping for they have a nice little shop which also serves food, wine and a really good selection of cheeses we had never had! We sampled somewhere around 6 different selections we wanted to try and bought everyone of them! We walked away with about $65 worth of excellent cheeses LOL There were a few cheeses we wished they had because it would have saved us a trip to Fresh Market but We will be back!
This is our go to place for craft cheese. They always have an amazing selection and are committed to finding something you will love. Also a wonderful place for a cheese plate and a glass of wine. If you are a cheese and wine lover - this is the place for you!
If you love cheese & charcuterie I definitely recommend la femme du fromage. Tonda, the owner is incredibly knowledgeable and will help you with all your cheese, beer, wine, chacuterie, and accompaniment desires. They make lovely grilled cheeses, salads, and boxes/boards. They are the perfect one stop show to transport you to your perfect cheesy dreams. The staff is always lovely and accommodating. If you have time on the weekday make sure to stop by to get the full experience, uninterrupted by the craziness of the weekend. Cheers!
Cheese heaven decided to get a last-minute cheese plate and the staff was super friendly and able to accommodate. Finally got to try the grilled cheese sandwiches and they were a dream come true. The Mac and Cheese sandwiches with Truffle mac & cheese was my favorite.
What a treat this was! Tonda and her team make the best specialty sandwiches that are absolutely delicious! The flat bread was also exquisite! Please do yourself a favor and buy the sheep and goat cheese in the jar. It is the best!!!!
I absolutely adore this shop! Not only do they have a diverse cheese selection that you cannot just find anywhere BUT they hands down have the best grilled cheeses in Orlando. This has easily become one of my favorite places to enjoy lunch, especially for their grilled cheese happy hours. Every week they have a sandwich with a pairing option that they don’t have on their standard menu, and it never disappoints. Also, if you’re ever looking to expand your palate and learn more about cheese and wine, Tonda and her team are incredibly knowledgeable, and they have an excellent cheese and wine class, if you keep an eye on their instagram you can see when tickets are released for these events. Makes for a perfect date night or night out with the gals!
Outstanding! We enjoyed the The "O.C." - Grilled Chicken, applewood bacon, with 3 cheese blend, house made
avocado-pesto aioli, tomato and red onion on garlic butter artisan bread, the Margherita Flatbread with fresh mozzarella, cherry tomato, basil, and parmesan with a red sauce base, accompanied with an IPA and mango sangria. It was delicious and most certainly add to your restaurant bucket list to visit.
My wife and I got a medium charcuterie box to celebrate an anniversary. We didn't really have any input on what to include so just did a "chef's choice" and were very happy with the results! They put it together while we had lunch in the courtyard, minimal hassle. All the selections were great and it included a nice assortment of fruit and meat to accompany the cheese. The medium box says it's for 3-4 but the two of us finished about 95% of it while watching some movies. Would definitely go back for another!
Ahhhhhmazing... delicious. Went for a late lunch with coworkers. Had the best time, The grillcheese happy hour... delicious, great beer pairing. Will definitely return to try other specials. East End Market is a great place to wander....
We attended one of the special events last night called La Dolce Vida and I cannot express how fantastic of an evening this was. Tonda and team created some of the most delicious dishes paired with excellent wines. Her vendors explained everything to us in a very fun and relaxed environment with heavy pours of wine. We cannot wait for the next event as I am sure it will be another hit.
Not only are the selections impressive, but the folks behind the counter know their cheese! From mindful suggestions to wariness of penicillin allergies, the staff are friendly, engaging, and amazing conversationalists. Each selection is wrapped with care to transport home, and they have some cheese boxes to go along with a nice variety of crackers. There is this one soft cheese blend that I love to get there marinated in oil - definitely recommend.
This is a good place for cheese, but it is very, very small, and their selection reflects that.
If you’re looking for something specific, it might be worth giving them a quick call to see if they have it.
If you’re in the neighborhood, then it’s worth a visit!
