I came here because I read a bad review elsewhere which the owner responded to beautifully to someone who was in the wrong restaurant for their circumstances.
Quality takes time sometimes.
I was looking for a slow atmosphere great fresh made food from scratch.
If you are too this is your place.
Met the owner to and he is extremely friendly and courteous.
Super helpful and recommended an amazing linguini which I pictured above.
Warning I did eat a few of the clams and mussels before the pic it was loaded with those suckers.
Food is amazing and the staff is as courteous as the owner.
A great relaxing atmosphere where I could sit down and finish my work for the day.
Thanks!
And i hope you enjoy.
They had me at the bread basket. Their bread was perfect, and they had a delicious herb and pepper bread that was out of this world. I knew if this was any indication of the rest of the night, I was in for a culinary delight. The caprese salad was the best I’ve had in my life. Never has mozzarella been so moist and been in perfect proportion to the tomatoes.
The real test was the gnocchi. Typically gnocchi isn’t quite consistent all the way through, with the inside being a little chewy. This gnocchi was handmade and cooked to perfection. It melts in your mouth and is bathed in a savory Gorgonzola sauce with prosciutto di Parma. And it was all so light, I didn’t feel heavy at the end. I haven’t had gnocchi this good since Italy.
Of course when they asked about desert, we couldn’t stop this culinary train. The tiramisu was unlike any other, almost like a mousse. The lemon cake is unique and flavorful.
Beyond the food, the owner and his wife are very hospitable and friendly. He takes pride in his restaurant, and it shows in the food, the service, and the whole experience. I can say for certain that we’ll be coming again and again.
Thank you The Palm Springs Show for the recommendation!
This new restaurant in an old familiar spot is simply fantastic! The remodel alone is a must see, but the food is incredible.
We sampled the Eggplant goat cheese appetizer (?), the Fettuccine Bolognese and the most authentic Pizza, reminiscent of our visits to Italy.
Considering the fact that they have only been opened for 1 week, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt about a few kinks that I'm confident they will work out. Hopefully the beer & wine list will improve (our waiter did mention it was their "limited list" for that day).
This restaurant deserves a 5 for their thoughtful, broad, bonafide menu. If you love original Italian food, you must give Venezia a try!
