I recently had the pleasure of dining at Captain's Table restaurant with some friends, and it was a delightful experience. I decided to try the half and half broiled shrimp and scallops, and it was a fantastic choice. The seafood was cooked to perfection, with the shrimp and scallops being tender and flavorful.
To complement our main dish, I ordered some sides including fried okra, hush puppies, and new potatoes. The fried okra was crispy and addictive. The new potatoes were perfectly seasoned and added a nice touch to the meal.
The atmosphere at Captain's Table was cozy and inviting, and the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
Overall, I highly recommend Captain's Table restaurant for a memorable dining experience.
We waited a while but it’s worth it. While waiting we grabbed a drink at the bar and listed to some live music outside. Once we were sat, we started with some oysters and drinks before ordering our main dishes. I order fried fish (I think grouper), fried okra and grits. All were really good and so was the service. If I come back in town I will definitely come back.
This has been a favorite place for years! First time back to the area and the restaurant has been completely renovated. Great food as always crab claws and grouper throats are awesome.
Melissa was our server and she was very friendly and did a great job. We ordered the smoked tuna dip to start with. Absolutely delish!! The she crab soup was very yummy. Would have preferred it to be just a tiny bit thicker. But the flavor was great! My husband and I split the seafood platter, and had it grilled. Everything was wonderful and full of flavor. Their butter dipping sauce is seasoned and sooo good. The cheese grits and okra were good as well. Great stop and a good option for families!
The service was great . Clean, safe location. Calamari was good but not hot (could tell they were cooked earlier put under heat lamp or some other method not fresh out of fryer )just warm ,crab claws very good little on the small side for what they cost. Grouper throats were excellent but would not eat as a meal again as there's not much actual meat on them should be sold as appetizer. Stuffed shrimp was ok not great, just not much food for what it cost.veggies was cooked and seasoned well .hush puppies are good.
Smoked Fish Dip has a very fresh taste and comes with the crispiest homemade potato chips! Angie made great recommendations. Perfect place for a casual dinner!
Our server (who also was the bartender) was super attentive. We never had an empty cup on our table. The whole fried flounder was delicious, and I had to keep stopping my daughter from trying to steal my food! Everything tasted great from the drinks to the food. The fact that they include the history on the menu was pretty cool.
My husband and I wanted to try something different and we heard about The Captain's Table (open at 4) and it was delicious! Highly reccomend this place in downtown Panama City!
Got a table for 6 people right away (6pm). The food was good and fresh. Would definitely go again.
Captain's Table is one of my favorite restaurants in Panama City Beach. Casual dining, great food, excellent service. Last time we tried the horseradish-crusted grouper which was excellent (see photo).
