Our recent visit to C-Level Seafood and Steak unfolded as a culinary journey filled with highlights and subtle nuances.
The prime rib, ordered medium rare, stole the spotlight with its succulence and rich flavor, expertly complemented by a savory beef jus and a zesty horseradish sauce. It was a culinary masterpiece that set the tone for the entire dining experience.
Following closely behind was the fresh local grouper—grilled and blackened to perfection, a testament to the chef's skill. Accompanied by a delightful house-made tartar sauce, the grouper proved to be a strong contender for culinary excellence.
The mixed greens salad sides fell short as the dressing tasted store-bought and did not mix well with the main course. The cheese grits contributed a creamy texture that was noteworthy. Even the chicken tenders for the kids, though slightly dry, did little to overshadow the overall positive experience.
Notably, the service was quick and friendly, contributing to the enjoyment of the evening. The calm atmosphere with dimmed lighting provided a relaxed ambiance, and ample parking added to the convenience of the visit.
Excellent service from our waiter, Tyler. Amazing atmosphere and definitely a local favorite. They gave us amazing Key lime pie for my birthday celebration and it was a complete pleasure to eat here. Will recommend and visit again! Cheese sticks are amazing and the fontina cheese grits are also!
Rhett was an awesome server! The prime rib was the best I've Ever had! Grilled grouper with Oscar was the best thing my husband has had he said. The grouper bites and crab cakes were also exceptional. Definitely a 10 star worthy
The special for the evening - Lionfish - was a hit! It was stuffed with Crab and served with roasted potatoes and grilled asparagus. We ordered a smoked old fashioned and what we had on this first visit was absolutely amazing. It was truly the best old fashioned I have experienced. One catch. We stopped in the next evening just for an old fashioned and another bar tender was working. Not sure what recipe or procedure he followed, but the old fashioned tasted like the smell of perfume. Message to the owner - train the neophyte, please!
It was worth the wait especially waiting at the bar our bartender Nick was amazing really knows his stuff. As busy as he was he took the time to acknowledge everyone waiting. Added bonus BEST patron Margaritas ever. And the crab legs were so fresh and portions so generous. Can’t say enough. We are tourists to the area had been here last time we visited will definitely make this our must visit stop. You won’t be disappointed.
Clayton recommended C Level to us as a great place for seafood. He said the service has an "at home" welcome feeling. He was ABSOLUTELY correct!! Houston was our server and his dinner recommendations, friendly personality, and attentive service made us feel right at home. We had the Lionfish special of the day with brussel sprouts and collard greens and a few other items on the menu. We LOVED EVERYTHING!! Thank you for making our vacation dinner deliciously memorable!! 😋
To start off, Gary is the best waiter I have ever had! I went in for the grouper bites on a recommendation and was not dissapointed. Very fresh, lightly fried, and while they didn't have a spicy sauce, Gary brought out a remoulade and some Louisiana hot sauce that worked out great. I couldn't decide on dinner. I just knew I wanted shrimp. I let Gary choose and he selected the shrimp and grits with a side of pineapple. It was phenomenal, best shrimp and grits I have ever had. Made me wish I lived close by! Topped it all off with an old fashioned made by Gary himself and it was delicious. Will definitely come back here every visit to Panama City. Highly recommend giving this a shot if you are on the fence about where to find good seafood, a good atmosphere and a great waiter.
Atmosphere was a nice rustic beach house feel.
Food was served hot. Taste was good, but $3.00 for 2 bread rolls! That's a bit much for bread.
The menu is illusive because 85% of the menu has "Market Price" on it. $40.00 for Prime Rib.
We went in around 5pm on a Tuesday without a res, got right in. Server was awesome. Didnt have to wait long for food. Husband enjoyed his steak and I ate my weight in crab legs.
Excellent food and exceptional service from Barrett. There is an overflow parking lot to the side of the restaurant. You can call ahead with reservations. The food was very good and their fried seafood is a very light breading. Our table had the C Level platter, mahi mahi tacos and Prime Rib French dip sandwich. With the C level platter it had some of the best Flounder and Groper I have ever had. Everything was very delicious and properly prepared. The side salad that you can close as a side is very large. The grilled pineapple was very good as well as the Brussels sprouts. The key lime pie was very good and not too tart. It is the best restaurant experience we have had in the area. Also, they do have a daily special so be sure to ask about that too.
