Wheelhouse Sandwich & Deli Llc

I won't lie. When I drove up and this sandwich shop was attached to a gas station, we almost immediately left. We were starving, so I convinced my husband to give it a try. The menu was huge and took some getting used to. We ordered two clubs (can't remember their name for it). One hot and one cold. Both were huge and delicious! The restaurant was obviously full of locals and very few tourists. They had all of their storage in site of diners and I saw a patron pull a gallon of tea out of a cooler and fix himself a cup (is that sanitary?), but most of the decor was beachy and relaxed. Overall, a good experience and friendly staff.

Best sandwich I have ever had. Ran here for lunch wanting something local and boy was it delicious. Ate with 2 other family members who agreed. AMAZING! And the portion size for the price is awesome too. XL is HUGE!

I used to eat here all the time!. We would go here on lunch from the marina 3 or 4 times a week. The food was great. I went in one day with my WheelHouse punch card for my free sandwich (it was all but 1 punch on one card and 1 punch on another because i didn't have my wallet with me one day and had to get a new card) so with all the punches i needed for my sandwich I ordered (this was nothing new, we had done it before) and for some reason the lady that runs the place laughed at me and said "i wish that was the way it worked" "you have to buy 6 before you get a free one" (i did buy 6 but she wasn't paying attention) she told me "we can't just give out free sandwiches before you fill your end of the bargain" and "Its supposed to be a fuzzy feeling when you buy your 6 sandwiches and come to get your free one, Its something you have to earn" so because she REFUSED to listen to me, someone who had been a VERY frequent customer not just some guy that bought a few sandwiches this year(not that there is really a difference. paying customers are paying customers) I REFUSE to patronize this business anymore. I haven't given them a cent since! The food is damn good and the sandwiches are sliced to order! That still doesn't change the fact that she would rather let her ego get in the way of a customer relationship because she is older than me and felt she was right no matter what..... I urge you to stay away!

Fantastic sandwiches, but logistics seem to be a challenge. There always seems to be one or two things on the menu but not available and the wait can be long. Definitely worth it, especially if you can get in early.

Great sandwich. Wish they wouldn't have stopped the punch card free sub program. The lady that runs it used to be super degrading and sometimes nasty to her staff in front of customers but she hasn't been there lately.
