It’s need a while since I came here to enjoy some sushi. This was a very late night dinner but it was so good! The sashimi is always delicious and the rolls are so yummy.it was great that this was just in the walking distance of the place we went for drinks too! I wish there were more places close to each other like this in Panama City. We will come back for some hibachi for sure! It was quite an exciting experience last time so once there’s a big celebration we can visit again. In the photos: tuna and salmon sashimi, spicy yellowtail tuna roll and tuna tempura.
Fabulous food, great service/entertainment. Ordered spicy octopus sushi roll, #8 hibachi (chicken, shrimp, scallops) fried rice, sauteed veggies, salad, soup and ice cream all included. Also got a maitai in the porcelain cat glass! :)
I'm a local frequent patron. Our family LOVES the friendly staff and the food is consistently delicious. The filet is seasoned so well, we don't even want to use the yum-yum sauce or the other sauce they offer. The clear soup is so good with the crumbled sausage treat in the bottom of the bowl. We've lived all over the US, and this place is truly overall a great experience every time. Ally is a wonderful waitress. We ask for her every time we visit. The owners are also very friendly and love to come around the tables and chat for a moment. Can't help but love the free ice cream and fortune cookie when the check comes. We've noticed a ton of people here celebrating birthdays. I could go on and on about how much we love Mikato, but I'll let you be the judge.
Loved it! Fun and delicious for the whole family! The service was great. The chef and servers were friendly, attentive, and efficient. The manager came around repeatedly making sure we were all happy and satisfied. The food was fabulous. It was cooked perfectly, and the hibachi meal included soup, salad, and dessert. The atmosphere was very pretty, unique, and inviting. I can't believe I have lived in this town forever and have never tried this place! Mikato will definitely become a regular dinner out for us!
Food and services was great! It's just really hot and stuffy. The ventilation and air quality in the hibachi area is poor. This made it tough for my asthmatic son. And they should do a thorough cleaning of the high chairs and booster seats. They were filthy. But overall, I would definitely visit again, but without my boys.
This is the entire family's favorite place in the world! The owner always comes by to make sure everything is perfect. All the chef's are amazing, but we have our favorite. Service is amazing. The sushi bar is the best in Bay and is always the freshest seafood. Just a great atmosphere and a wonderful show that the whole family should enjoy!
These are the nicest people ever. Love the action, the way my family of 6 was given our own room! The kids loved the show. It was my first time experiencing this and I love it. I will try the Buddha drink next time 😉. I really wanted it but I tried a long island
Very good place to eat. Owner seated our party. The wait was not long at all. We were seated and our orders were taken. This did not take long either. What really impressed me was that the owner walked around joking with customers. One child who had a birthday got a cupcake or small cake. Another person who had a birthday also had a cake brought out. Im not sure if this was requested, but everyone sang happy birthday and I could tell both parties were happy. Yes, they have yum yum sauce you just have to ask. I ordered shrimp and it tasted fresh out of the Gulf. There shrimp was better than other seafood places ive eaten, and I wont mention them here.
I also found pricing to be right on the mark with other hibachi places in the area. Definitely worth the trip for dinner. It was dinner and a show! Owner is hands on and cares! Food is very excellent!
This Hibachi and sushi restaurant is great for large and small groups. We ate here again tonight with a large group of family and friends. We had group members who wanted vegetarian options. We had people with specific food allergies. And, we had three younger grandkids with us. All of our needs were met with great tasting food and good service.
Have been many times , they are getting sloppy! Not sure why but the service has gone down hill. I hope the owner a fantastic person, can get his arms around this. We only live 2.3 miles away. The other evening all 3 of us had stomach cramps and diarrhea upon arriving home.
