Downtown "Diner"ing at it's best. The breakfast here is wonderful! - I've never tried the lunch buffet. The hot food just doesn't look very appealing to me, but I've ordered a sandwich or two off the "menu" - burgers, grilled cheese etc... they are pretty good hot off the griddle. Take my advice and spring for the fries instead of the potato chips that come with the sandwiches.
Dear God everything here was amazing. Some of the finest Southern cooking in this city. The BBQ pork riblets were mouth watering bone melting delicious. The drop fried cornbread was texture perfect. The peach cobbler ... I am eating it right now and its as if the peaches were rolled in angel breath dew then softly delivered on a pillow of silk and honey. There is no such thing as "just one plate" at Cassandra's. Will come back next time I'm in town.
This restaurant has a new owner since March of 2014. I happened upon it and went in for a good food. It was very good and the owner was very nice. I love it! Good atmosphere and the view of the bay and the surrounding stores are nice!
Food and service are great. Nice place for sure. Generous portions and fair pricing. I had breakfast, chicken garden inlet was the special. It came with hashbrowns and toast. Also a wedge of watermelon
