Best prices for sushi in the area. The happy lunch special makes me happy. I've eaten here every day for two years and food was always fresh, consistent and delicious. Jason one of the chefs is always so welcoming, he really knows how to load up my ikura handrolls. I love this place.
I got all of this sushi for less than $40!! 10/10 would order again in the future.
I have to say I make a much better soup. There's was not to good. Not much flavor. But the sushi is made right there in front as you. It was very good. The Dragon roll was awesome! Its the one in the picture with avocado on top with sauce. I'd go there again just for the Dragon roll itself! Had to edit this. Sumo sushi is the best!!!!! I have since tried about 15 other sushi places that can't compare to Sumo sushi. Other places were not consistent. But this place always awesome!
Got takeout here for dinner last week. They offer brown rice for rolls which is awesome. I got a salmon roll, a tuna roll, and a yellowfin roll. Total was around $22 and it was amazing. Fish seemed fresh and the rice was well cooked. Would definitely eat here again.
Edit: went here again and was not impressed. Fish didn’t taste as fresh and was more tough than before. Guess it just depends on the day. Would still eat here again but definitely wasn’t as good as the first time.
Edit again: have eaten here 5-6 more times and it’s been fantastic every time, even when delivered. I would definitely say my one bad experience was a fluke.
Always amazing. Always great service. Never had a bad experience here. The servers are very attentive and remember us every time we come in. Our go to sushi place!

I have to say, Sumo Sushi is my absolute FAVORITE sushi place I've ever been to. I tried a bunch of different sushi places in Philly, some in New York, some in other states, but Sumo Sushi is still my favorite. I ate here often when I lived in Philly and I miss it so much now that I'm far away! I think of this place, the food, and the employees often... Such amazingly delicious sushi, they have good prices, and the people who work here are SO NICE!! I miss it so much and I try to go every time I visit Philly. I always order salmon sashimi, a spicy tuna roll, and I switch up the other rolls each time I go. :) To the people who work here, thanks, and keep up the good work!! 👍 ❤️
You can’t beat the quality, price, and convenience of Sumo Sushi. I pick up lunch here about once a week, and the food is consistently fresh and delicious (and FAST—usually ready within 10 minutes of my online order).
So good! We ordered takeout from here on a whim because it was suggested by Grubhub.
1. Sweet potato roll is FANTASTIC! It's large, there's crunchy and sweet/savory texture and flavor profiles. Highly recommend
2. Scallion pancakes are delicious, come with a sweet chili sauce! Warning - they are very greasy.
3. Loved the philly rolls and the tempura shrimp/mango roll. Both fantastic.
4. Delivery took less than 30 minutes on a rainy Thursday night!
5. The wasabi was very green/spicy...it was intense.
Would order again!
