We were in Philly for a convention and ate here before heading back home. It was great!! The service was excellent. Very friendly. We ate pollo guisado Carne de res pernil and a mofongo de queso. We also got white rice with beans and tostones. Everything was delicious and they give u a good amount of food. We all got a limonada and it was so good. Would definitely come back here when back in Philadelphia.

If you can forget the drab appearance, the food is really good and authentic! I had ropa vieja with yellow rice, black beans and plantain. Excellent. My friend enjoyed the pulled pork as well. And guess what, the police eat there and like anywhere in the world, it is a great sign for good food. They know their city and they have the choice! If you like creole food, go there.

Thursday lunch special was baked chicken - juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender. Highly recommend the fresh-squeezed juice.
