I wanted to get a picture of the catfish, however when I looked and noticed at how well and evenly it was fried, and how it was well seasoned and not at all greasy, I forgot all about that picture and just devoured the plate(a plate that also had a solid version of mashed potatoes with gravy). And speaking of solid, that is a very good word to describe this place. Nothing fancy they stay in a very particular lane and execute.
I will definitely come back here!! Stopped in for lunch and started with the hot pepper cheese bit. Awesome.. Nice and crunchy on the outside and melts on the inside. Great flavor and a little spice. Also got the fried gator tail. Cooked just right in a seasoned flour. A little salty and tender. Great appetizer.
Got the two piece fried catfish for lunch. Sides were good the beans had nice flavor and I really liked the hush puppies. Catfish had a great crust and flavor was excellent. Il will be back for dinner sometime for the all you can eat. Also the service was right on. Never waited for anything.
Great homey atmosphere. Fast service. Catfish was delicious! Will certainly come back here next time we are in town.

I ordered the catfish dinner and it was great! Service was excellent. I was made to feel extremely welcome, like a regular customer, even though it was my first time. I hope to visit again.
If you like fried seafood, this place is really good.
I have always seen the sign for this restaurant, but I never tried it until now. At your table your server will give you free sides called “vittles” these are hush puppies, coleslaw, baked beans, and pickles.” These are free and are unlimited. As for the catfish they are not bad at all. I ordered without the bone and my family member ordered with the bone. The food was decent in all honesty they want you to be full on the vittles before your actual meal comes. Overall, the food is mediocre I was hungry so it tasted decent.
This place is a must visit if you're in the area. The food was great and the amount of food you get was right on point. The big mason jars for your drinks are a plus as well, and this place has the best hush puppies I've ever had. You can't go wrong stopping here.

Best catfish around, best everything really. Hushpuppies amazing. Nana pudding is homemade. Definitely get your money's worth. I always want to come here when I'm visiting. They were busy, and I was told it would be a 40 minute wait. Really it was about 20 minutes. I can't wait til the next time.
SOOOO much food but the service was outstanding. My husband ordered something of everything hahah, but I have tons of allergies. This place went ABOVE and beyond in their care for me, Im so grateful and thankful for people like these. They have an excellent business because the do EVERYTHING they do well.
Party of 8. We were seated as soon as everyone arrived and were inside the building. Waitress was awesome. If you're getting the vittles, don't bother with the "all you can eat" meals. You won't want more than one plate. You're too full! We had okra and fried green tomatoes as appetizers. So good! The catfish was bland, dry, and hardly meaty. The chicken was crispy and juicy. Was really looking forward to the catfish, but it didn't live up to expectations.
Would probably eat there again, though.
And would recommend it to anyone.
Locally owned eatery. Great food. Family atmosphere. Been eating here 30 years. Long term employees are treated well. Always enjoyable.
Really cool themed restaurant, the sides were amazing and the staff were super friendly! The trout I suggest getting grilled, the fried was a little too much for the smaller filet. Chicken and fries were all good.
Our waitress Brenda was outstanding! Not only was she was patient and kind she made us feel very welcome thank you Brenda for taking care of us. Furthermore the food is divine if you want some good home cooked southern/seafood this is the place for you and honestly I think it’s one of the top rated restaurants in Piegon Forge! Oh they also got this cute gift shop when you walk in. So if you are looking for a good time and good food come on down to Huck Finn’s Catfish
