Step back in time for this classic diner with booth seats, a jukebox and fun atmosphere. Stopped by for a quick bite and wasn't disappointed. Ordered Cheeseburgers and fries which were delicious and had option of choosing 3 different types of cheese to go on burger. Service was quick and server friendly. Favorite item, the onion rings. They were so tasty, really made the meal.

Went in this morning for breakfast at Mel's Diner. Our server Kimberly C. was awesome. Very attentive and really friendly. I got the special two eggs, two pancakes and two meat for $8.99. The pancakes were thick and fluffy. The bacon was good and the eggs were good. It was good for the price. My girl got biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns and scrambled eggs. She enjoyed her meal but was not overly complimentary. I to enjoyed my meal but wasn't super impressed. I'm not saying it was bad because it wasn't just not top tier. The atmosphere is very cool with excellent music and a lot of the girls singing. Has a 50's feel to it on the inside. Really awesome memorabilia on the walls. Mel's is an institution in Pigeon Forge. It's completely worth a visit for breakfast or lunch. I would go back and definitely reccomend a visit.

What a fun experience! The nostalgic atmosphere alone is enough to put a smile on your face. We arrived and were told that will be a 30 minute wait we were given a beeper and we sat in our car and waited and within 15 minutes we were called in. You could hear the music outside, as well as inside. They play some oldies from several eras. My husband ordered the strawberry sundae and I had the chicken salad sandwich. He was in the mood for dessert for dinner, and was completely satisfied sundae. I like the taste of the chicken salad and had what appeared to be may be sweet, relish, and there was a garnish of tomato, lettuce, pickles, and onion, I got the side of fries with it. The fries didn’t disappoint either the staff was really nice and they move people in and out quickly. They’ve got a great system and if you’re in the area I have really recommend you stopping bye they’re open until midnight, but they’re not open on Sundays.

This place was a great experience! Love the music, the atmosphere is very retro. The food was good! I got the catfish and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife got the hotdog and it was okay. Too sweet for me and her. Check this place out!

1st time dining and will definitely repeat. Their staff was super and friendly and our server was very attentive. Pot roast portion was plenty and their kid's meals were just right. Banana Split was enough for 5 people.

Unlike a modern restaurant that has been styled to have a sterile 50's diner theme, Mel's Diner actually feels like an authentic old diner that has been well maintained and survived into modern times despite only being around since the early 90's.  We arrived at 1pm on a Friday at the end of a lunch rush and got a table in less than 10 minutes.   The people working here feel like they could be family or neighbors, and the food almost seems homemade.  I had a cheeseburger and fries with a chocolate malt.  There's nothing fancy about the burger, which is exactly what you would expect from a diner.  The fries seem to have a light batter which may not be for everyone and are not seasoned, but they were cooked perfectly with a nice crispy outside.  Breakfast seems to be served all day.  The prices are also very diner-like with most of the meals on the menu falling well under $15.  At first the milkshakes and malts seem expensive when considering the price alone, but the quantity is very generous; the metal mixing cup they bring out was big enough to fill the milkshake glass three times!  The atmosphere felt slightly cramped due to the plastic dividers (which I assume is a pandemic feature so I can't fault them for that), but the metallic ceiling, checkered floor, space-age patterned tabletops, and curved traincar-like walls still creates a fun diner environment.  The music that was playing didn't create a fully immersive 50's feeling as it ranged from 60's psychedelic rock to modern country, but overall had a fun and positive vibe.  I hope to stop in again next time I'm in town.

First time visiting Mel's Diner, and we will definitely be back! The atmosphere, cleanliness,as well as our waitress Danielle were AMAZING. But the real MVP this morning was the cook, as the food here is so good!!!

Went here with family and enjoyed the food and ambiance. Felt like a 50's diner. Milkshakes were great. They hit the right spot with Great flavors and food choices reminded me diner options. Have wanted to come here for a good while. Definitely recommend this place. Family Friendly and plenty of parking.

Looked into good places to eat while I'm the Gatlinburg for vacation and in speaking to the locals this place was suggested a lot. Classic diner food, with breakfast served all day. We had the patty melt with onion rings along with loaded fries and chocolate malt. Amazing!! The staff was great and engaging as they encourage customers to participate in the singing of a lot of the songs that play on the jukebox. Overall great experience... Will definitely be back!!

We stopped in for a later lunch. We got seated, and the restaurant was pretty full. We ordered and quickly got our food. The waitress was absolutely wonderful and very attentive to us. She stopped by several times asking if everything was good and if we needed refills. All the food was hot and tasted great. The restaurant has a fun dinner vibe and was well upkept. We were very happy with our decision and were glad to have stopped in.
