In the Fall, my wife and I visited the Island (Margaritaville) in Pigeon Forge (TN) with our friends. Among all the usual shops we drop by, we found this treasure... KAPOP!!!
Not expecting to find savory flavors that would instantly have us hooked, we sampled their Dill Pickle... White Cheddar... Even Jalapeño flavored popcorn. WARNING: If you are an avid popcorn consumer - All three flavors and in any combination will cause you to buy a 5-gallon collectors tin packed to the brim!
The tins were Disney characters sporting college football teams' designs. We took home the Mickey Mouse Georgia Bulldog tin with Dill Pickle popcorn.
Staff in the shop were very patient as we perused and made our selection. The shop quickly filled between songs being played in the adjacent courtyard, but the crew took us all in stride - with smiles for miles.
This will be our new favorite stop on the upcoming trips to Tennessee. On to the next flavor... Thank you, KAPOP!
I loved how there were many different flavors. We ended up getting the jalapeño popcorn and cheddar popcorn which tasted really good. The employee was nice, so that was also good. The only problem I had was that they didn’t have different sizes for popcorn available. It was either getting the small or getting a huge bucket. There was no in between. Overall, I would definitely recommend trying out there popcorn.
We got dill pickle, jalapeno, and white cheddar. They've got a good selection of flavors and cool candies/drinks. Lots of tins in different size too. We've only made it through some white cheddar, so not sure how the other flavors will be. So far so good!
Very cute little shop! We visited the week of valentines this past year im a bit late. A very nice girl was working when we came and recommended mixing the cheddar and ranch! We loved it! Thank you kapop!
A popcorn lovers DREAM!!! So many different flavors to try, combine, and sample! You can even buy a tin and have it filled!! How awesome is that!!?? I love this place! The employees are great too! They have such awesome vibes and actually speak to you the entire time you're in the store!! Love going back!! They also carry drinks and a mix of other great products! Give them a visit! Also each time I have went the popcorn was fresh! The employees even have a new batch in the kettles making!
Popcorn is one of my son's favorites, so we went in to check it out. We enjoyed the free samples, but even better was the excellent customer service from Caleb! He is awesome! We bought the bacon cheddar & double butter! The sweet pecans were good too! They had some crazy flavored drinks we would like to try next time!
I'm quite the lover of great popcorn, and this place didn't fail to impress. I wish they had a few more flavors to choose from; however, what I tasted was good. I chose the standard double butter and cheddar flavors. The pricing is awfully high for popcorn it seems to me...but since I was on vacation I figured why not. Overall, nice experience.
AMAZING! Firstly, the cashier guy (I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name, tall brown hair) He was awesome! Very friendly and nice, cracked some jokes and was just really nice conversation. THEN I tasted the popcorn and Jesus Christ it was amazing! I got the double butter and it does not disappoint. Perfect ratio of salt and butter. Best popcorn I’ve ever had. Good job!
We love this place. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Free samples of all the flavors. We go to Pigeon Forge about 3 to 4 times a year and we come here every visit. We are greeted warmly and even remembered by a couple of employees. Their popcorn is amazing and we have never had anything but great service!
The guys who work here were great, my husband and I actually ended up spending about an hour or so just talking to them and taste testing some of the different flavors. Its something different from what I can buy at home so I enjoyed it, prices were about as expected for a tourist destination. $25 for a bucket of popcorn and some candy.
