What a great date night spot! We were visiting from out of town, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our reservation. The food comes in small tapas style share plates and we had about 4-5 dishes between 2 people. We thought dessert was going to be similar in yield so we ordered 2, but 1 would have definitely been adequate. We were also pleasantly surprised to have been given a nice treat by our server to celebrate our anniv 🥂 Thank you for the great experience and we’d definitely love to come back next time we’re in Pittsburgh!

An authentic tapas style Spanish restaurant. Most of tables are already reserved but there are still bar seats open to first come first serve manner, which is a lifesaver for people who occasionally decide to visit a restaurant on personal whim. Parking is not difficult. Street parking is free after 6 p.m. Food is fantastic! Charcuterie board comes with four types of meat, three of which, fuet, pardon pepper salami, morcilla Iberia, are sausage meat. Coppa Secca, my first time trying this, leaves me a great impression. It’s less fatty but more firm than prosciutto (I know comparing them might be a bad idea, but this is what I have been think when I was eating it). Oyster mushrooms are superb! They are cooked perfectly with butter. After stirring it with yolk, the entire table is just shrouded under its aroma. It is almost a blessing of having it in front of me. The bread comes with it is crispy which makes a nice company. Softshell crab is a another gem. The crab itself, the seasoning inside, and the sauce on the side, all make the dish full of flavor. For the large plate, I was thinking roasted chicken over rice might not be anything special. It turns out that I was serious wrong. The chicken is so well-seasoned that every single bite is full of flavor. Meanwhile, it is roasted to perfection as its skin is crispy and its meat is succulent. The drumstick, thigh, breast, and wing’s third-selection are severed over paella, while the rest of the meat are shredded and cooked with rice. This dish needs 35-40mins to cook and it is absolutely worth the wait! When time is passed through having conversations with friends and enjoying tapas, it’s finally arrival undoubtedly creates the most exciting part of your dinner. The only downside is that it tastes a bit salty. Finally, after all those food and drink, everyone in my party are absolutely stuffed. But we still want some dessert. I feel lucky that we ordered churros. They are freshly made, light, chewy, not too sweet. The chocolate fondue comes with it is just a heaven sent gift; it pairs so well with the dessert and gives a wonderful closure for the dinner. Services are also fantastic. Staff is passionate about introducing the menu, checking on us, and being prompt to responding to our requests. Will definitely come back for all the other items on the menus. I believe all of them must be outstanding.

In sum, great tapas place in Pittsburgh with a good variety of dishes which were all delivered at great quality. We ordered the entire menu (although I’m not sure we actually got all dishes) and favorite was definitely the chicken (large dishes), the mussels ceviche, fried cauliflower and the boquerones. Would not recommend the foie gras and the Smoked beef rip despite its great visual. Two notes to improve on: 1. the wine list is very mediocre, would be great to have more variety that suits the food 2. service can be a bit more helpful, we had to do serious convincing to get the whole menu ordered and - as mentioned above - I know for fact we didn’t get all dishes (eg the main fish dish or the pulpo) Would definitely go again though and then purposefully order these two dishes

Everything was very beautiful, with each food item being special and delicious. Loved the ambience where my group just talked, are, and drinked. The service too was impeccable where our waiter took the time to explain some food items and suggest some as well. Since it was three of us, we ordered quite a few items. Our top 3 were the pulpo that was tender and covered in a buttery sauce, the morcilla baguette pieces that melted in your mouth, and of course the oxtail. We also ordered some white and regular sangria, not bearing so much sweetness, carefully guiding us in this food journey.

Outstanding food. Probably the best food that i have eaten in Pittsburgh in terms of plating and flavours. All their dishes are beautifully flavoured and not too overwhelming. Amazing plating as well. Quite amazing

We stopped in last night for a snack and cocktails. We wound up trying many food items along with wine and drinks. This is the perfect foodie spot. The staff are perfect. Knowledgable and professional while still being laid back and fun. Everything we had was top of the line, in particular the Oxtail, Morcilla and artichokes. 10/10

You can't miss here. Every dish will be one of the best you had, but especially the large chicken and rice plate. It takes a little longer to prepare the chicken, so you may want to put that order in while you're ordering appetizers and small plates. ... and you do want appetizers and small plates. I have it on good accord that the cocktails are some of the best around. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the ambiance, service, and some of the best food you will find anywhere. My current favorite restaurant in the city, and one of my favorites in the states.

Dear Morcilla, I just want to thank you for a truly exceptional experience. My wife brought me here for my birthday and it was truly a treat. The first thing we had was the fried artichokes. They were cooked perfectly and lightly breaded and the lemon sauce was exquisite. It had the right amount of tartness and was oh so delicious. Next we had a little plate of tuna. The tuna was tender and delicious and it paired nicely with the little rice puffs. The juxtaposition between soft and crunchy was a true delight. My absolute favorite was the roasted carrots. They were cooked perfectly and the whipped cheese surrounding them was like nothing I’ve ever had before. It was light, tart, and delicious. The server we had was very friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. The service was exceptional. I really liked the coffee as well. I’m glad you had decaf and the French press was excellent. After our great meal we decided to get some dessert. We tried the peach sorbet and it was like no other sorbet we’ve ever had. I loved the light foam on top and how the sorbet was whipped airy and light. It was chilled to the right temperature so you could eat it without even getting brain freeze. The savory spices on top paired nicely with the sweet fruit. Overall it was an amazing experience, and I’ll be sure to tell everybody to stop here for a memorable meal. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to coming back again. See you next time! Cheers!

A restaurant unlike any other. Every detail adds to the dining experience: the lighting, the friendly and attentive servers, and of course the fabulous food. I recommend starting with a half-dozen of their excellent menu of small plates offerings. Once you start there, you won't want to stop. The best in Pittsburgh.

This is a tiny gem hidden in plain sight on butler. My wife and I stopped in with her parents for an earlier dinner (430), you will most likely need reservations. Once inside you’re comforted with a natural feel and some exposed brick with great lighting. The service was great from front to back, patient and informative. We shared two bottles of wine, 5 smaller plates and finished off with the trout. I couldn’t have picked anything I didn’t love honestly. They even had me enjoying dishes I normally don’t touch like the eggplant. Oxtail and skirt steak were among my favorites. We will be going back.
