Passing through after a long day at Sandcastle, we found Michael's. This place was FANTASTIC!! Portions were very nice sized and well worth the money! I would definitely recommend Michael's and will be back in the future :)
Pizza. Tender crust, a delight to bite into!!
The best pizza in south side. Especially if you love cheesy pizza. Just stay away from the pierogi pizza. It was a bland disappointment. The pepperoni and sausage pizza makes up for it though!
Great place, Especially for the specials. Wednesday is wing night from 5 to 10pm, You get the whole wing for only 50 cents a wing they. Pizza Thursday all day and night eat in for only 80 cents a cut. Tey this place, it's great tbey give you so much food! Like my post if you try thos place.

Love Michael's Pizza Bar. I come up to Pittsburgh about twice a year to see a friend, and go to Michael's Pizza Bar every time. It's our fave. We love the pierogie pizza!! Been going now for about 5 years.
We went for the pizza. We ordered a large extra cheese pizza with 1/2 green peppers and 1/2 hot peppers. Had I known how cheesy this pizza was I wouldn't have asked for extra cheese (this is a good thing). It was very cheesy and very tasty. This is now one of our favorite pizza pies in the city. This isn't a quick order pizza (anyone that has ever made pizza knows it takes time to make a good pie), but we definitely didn't wait forever.
My only complaint is that the hot peppers weren't spicy.
Yummmmmmm pizza. Micheals pizza was amazing the atmosphere was fun the bacon cheese pizza was awesome. so overall good beer good food and good company made this place.
Finally had the pleasure of going here for the first time today! I met the owner who was so nice and went out of his way to help me know where to park next time I stop by. The lady working behind the bar was also very welcoming and nice. The food was fantastic! My husband ate the pepperoni roll so quickly that I didn’t even get a picture. Lol
Great place and a really nice waitress who served us. The food was great and very delicious, especially the Calzone. Whenever we're in Pittsburgh again we'd like to visit Michael's Pizza Bar.
Great neighborhood locale. The Owner Mike and the amazing bartender were so warm and friendly. My son gave the pizza a 10/10. Though we live in MD, we’d definitely make the commute again.
Found this hidden gem today on my way to work. I had the Italian sub with chips. It was both delicious and filling. The owner is a real nice down to earth gentleman I had the pleasure of conversing with as I waited for my meal. I ended up eating the whole 1/2 sub, which is rare for me. I will be back for the Tuesday special as I was delighted to see they have Michelob ultra light on tap verses in the bottle. The waitress was also very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place ❤️
I was having a large party and the staff was so helpful when I had questions about how much to order. The pizza is so delicious too. Everyone loved it!

Holly cow!! I don't think I have ever had breadsticks that good. They call them Twistees here and they are a must have. The pizza sauce that came with the twistees was fantastic, perfect as dipping sauce.
For my main course I decided to go with Austin's Hole in One Pizza which comes with garlic sauce, steak, onion, mushroom, green pepper, FRIES, provolone and its served with ranch on the side. I did order small pizza and it was plenty big for one person.
The bartender, Kayce, was super helpful and gave me little history of the place.
Michael's pizza is a full liquor bar but don't be ordering fancy drinks with an umbrella or dehydrated fruit. Respect the fact that this is a neighborhood spot and order a draft, shot and a beer, Seven 7 or whisky & water. Once you get your drink sit back enjoy the vibe of a south side bar.
I don't say this much cause there is so many restaurants around but this is one of those places worth coming back to.
Oh btw - check out their daily specials. I heard good things about the burger night on Mondays.

Been going here since im a kid.. Unfortunately its been a little since last I was here, but just like I expected my food was fantastic. Pizza ex cheese pepperoni and sausage well done was perfect. Bread twists just like I remembered....
Went to their website. Was redirected to use the Slice app for delivery. Placed order. Order was delivered and they didn’t send me all the food. I called and asked about it and they acknowledged that they made the mistake said they would refund me the money but if I wanted the rest of the food that I’d have to reorder it. They refunded me but shorted me some money. When I called back about the refund being short they told me they would not do anything about it and told me to call the Slice app about it even though they acknowledged it was their fault. How does that even make any sense? You’d think that if you recognized you made a mistake that you would take care of the problem. Unfortunately they did not.
Update...the owners called me personally. They were very apologetic and polite. Ultimately working through Slice and Michaels I was credited back some of the money that I lost.

Ordered a cheese pizza and a house salad! The pizza was excellent, and the house salad, was super fresh, and good as well. Friendly staff and reasonable prices, I would highly recommend Michaels if you are looking for great food and service!
Went with family, it a local hangout where everyone is friendly. Had the chicken wings and pizza, both were great. The service was great also. We will go back.
