I love it !!!!!!. This place is owned by very nice couple and the food is spectacular. The Tabouli is very fresh and the gyro is like no other. No doubt, that I will be back there very soon. Also, The atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting. I love sam's sun deli shop and I have never been let down time and time again.
A Hidden Treasure. Sam's is phenomenal!! I love the people who own it... they are ALWAYS so friendly and nice! The food is EXCELLENT!! Fresh and tastes great! The hummus is to die for... my ultimate favorite. Definitely check out Sam's Sun and you won't be disappointed!

Tabuli to die for. The couple who own and operate this small shop are the best and make everything homemade. They told me they eat their own food and wouldn't serve it unless it is the best. The Tabuli is the best in Pittsburgh and I can't pass the place without buying some. I bet the Gyros taste like the ones in the Middle East. Take a trip to Carrick and taste the best.

Ordered the large gyro. Definitely should have ordered the regular sized one. Was definitely a big portion for a great value. Very delicious. Also ordered baba ghannouj (not pictured), the spices they use in it are delightful and I'd definitely order again. Owner was SO nice. Honestly even if the food wasn't amazing, I'd want to go back just for how nice he was.
Great. The gentleman who helped us was very nice. The food was plentiful in portion and flavor. You can see and taste the effort put into the dishes from the seasoning and lemony-kick of the hummus to the smokiness of the babaganoush. I almost couldn't finish the big ol' gyros they're slinging. Almost.

Everything was delicious, huge, and cheap! The chicken gyro came with like half a chickens' worth of meat. The lamb gyro had a unique middle Eastern type flavour to it that I can't describe, but it was very good. Spanakopita was delicious too. Everything seemed fresh and not greasy. Will come back!
So good, tons of meat, great price but the best thing is the service. Sam is the nicest man and it just makes you happy going in talking with him while you wait on your food.
Great little hole in the wall Mediterranean food stop. The grape leaves were incredible. The gyro delicious. And the falafel was very good as well. I'd include pictures but the food was too good to wait. The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating and honestly buying my food from here made me feel good after interacting with them. If you're in the area it is well worth the stop for a delicious meal.

The best gyros in Pittsburgh, not to mention the cheese pie. A tiny little store located on the edge of Brentwood and Carrick, Sam's is worth a visit if you love gyros, cheese and meat pies, salads and more. They also have a good selection of sweets such as baklava and pistachio rolls. Street parking, so be sure to bring quarters, and Sam only takes cash.
I went in for the first time tonight, was running late and forgot cash. The owner was incredibly kind and pointed me toward an ATM nearby.
The gyro was easily the best I've had in Pittsburgh. Excellent meat, fresh tomato, and a delicious sauce. I also had a baklava for the first time and it was amazing! I'm not usually a fan of dessert, but these were very good. Sam recommended that I have mine with coffee and the pairing was great. I can't wait to come back!
Best middle eastern food I've ever had in Pittsburgh. Owners are the best people you'll ever meet in your life so friendly and accommodating, customer service is better than any 5 star restaurant.
