The food is the best Chinese in Pittsburgh! As long as ambiance is not important, which it's not to me, this place is 5 stars. If decor is important to you then maybe you'd give it only 4.

Nice place for a quick cheap lunch. Good quality food too, I enjoyed my lunch without breaking the bank.

From the outside the Hong Kong Express 2 looks far from impressive, but don't be deceived! This is by far the best Chinese restaurant I have visited in Pittsburgh. They offer everything might expect from an American Chinese restaurant, as well as traditional Chinese dishes and some of the best Boba tea you'll ever have. I've taken to ordering random menu items each time I visit, as I know I'll be pleased with whatever I get. To top it off, the food is incredibly affordable, especially for groups! I highly recommend a visit, especially if you're with friends or trying to eat on a budget (dieters beware though, the portions are huge)!
This is THE BEST chinese restaurant in the Pittsburgh area.
In all I have been to most others, and non can stack up to Hong Kong Express 2. Great food, great prices, great staff.

This place is consistently delicious and the folks who work here are the best. HKE2 has been my top go-to spot for lunch for two years now. Definitely recommend giving them a try!

In all the many years that I have frequented this restaurant, I've only had one bad experience where the meal just didn't taste right. I was too far to return the meal, so I don't know how they would have handled it.
I really miss working downtown, mostly because of the Singapore Rice Noodle. Best I ever had, hope they can open again in the future!
If you are looking for quick, cheap, and good Chinese food this is the place for you. I live downtown and the owner or their son gets my order to me in less than 30 min after calling.
