Mom and Pop Mexican style. The first thing I always notice when walking into a restaurant is the cleanliness or lack thereof. Los Compadres is always very clean. Their clientele is mostly Hispanic, always a good sign of authentic Mexican food. Their chicken has wonderful seasoning and perfectly grilled. I usually order chicken nachos. They have more meat, veggies and cheese than chips. It's about 6.00 but it is easily shared with someone else. My husband loves the Pozole but is usually only served on weekends. The tamales are also good. In fact we have never ordered anything that we didn't like.
Large restaurant, quite authentic food. Nice toppings bar. The tables are bothersome because you can't stretch out your legs, but it's not a huge deal.
The food is authentic. The service is friendly. The atmosphere is like being in a really big old style Mexican restaurant. It reminds me of the place my dad took me when I was a kid living in Southern California. I'm always looking for "real" Latino food. Most people in Utah can't handle it or understand it, so I try to find places where there aren't gringos. (Like me)☺️
I can't handle the heat like when I was young and they have all levels.
This is one of my favorites for a fun sit down dinner.
And all this for $10? Yes. Amazing
