I don't remember the last time I had tasted such delicious food with such unique flavors. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in New York for the taste of its food. It is not conventional at all and is exquisite on the palate. The attention and education on the part of the staff is excellent, very much in keeping with the level of flavor of its food. The plantain croquettes are unique in New York, the ribs are like cotton candy because they are so soft, and the Argentinian milk dessert tastes delicious.
If you are in the area please stop by Sonora restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere is amazing. I was pleased to see so many vegan options in the menu. We had some guacamole and chips, bread with tomato and I had the vegan paella…. It was different but very tasty and flavorful. Do not forget to have a cocktail…. I had cucumber mango martini… amazing! When leaving we where lucky to meet the chef… that when I talked about the vegan paella told me her daughter is also vegan and if I came back he will make any dish for me !!! Music to my ears!!
My new favorite restaurant in the area! After an incredible first visit, I canceled an existing reservation for a private party to reschedule it at Sonora in The Cork Room upstairs. The food and cocktails are truly amazing and the warm and welcoming staff are the epitome of hospitality. Looking forward to returning soon!
Sonora made the 2022 Westchester Magazine Best restaurants list, so my expectations were very high. I appreciated the earthy decor and attentive wait staff, and the menu's many tempting pan-Latin offerings makes this a fairly unique spot. I enjoyed my hibiscus mezquelita, sweet and smokey! The food was good but not great. Maybe we didn't order the best dishes. My Pollo Organic Renello was tasty for the first bite or two but soon became boring. My husband's Camarones y Vieras was more enjoyable. The food is rich. Was unhappy my server upsized our guacamole to a large without asking us. Tip - the guacamoles have 2 prices, apparently for large and small. Be sure to specify or they'll decide for you $21 later.) All in all, a decent meal. Not disappointed, just not living up to "Westchester's Best."
Sonora is a great place to eat with a romantic, fun atmosphere.
We’ve been here twice and both times we really enjoyed the food.
I’m not the most adventurous eater, but the guacamole and tempura fish tacos were amazing! My husband got the short rib and that was delicious as well.
For dessert, we tried the chocolate fondue; seeing as you don’t find fondue on the menu very often!
It was really good, and came with fruit and marshmallows to dip.
The service was quick and very friendly!
Will definitely come back.
Be adventurous! This is a "LATIN FUSION " restaurant, and the FUSION they create here is wonderful. The guacamole is as fresh as it gets (made right before your eyes).
I won't recommend any specific dish, just read through the menu and take your taste buds on an excursion along paths you may never have been before!
Went for brunch. Guacamole was delicious. I had the challah French toast which was good. My companion had the steak and eggs which shexsaid was delicious. Was impressed with the amount of bacon provided (ordered as a side). Was enough for two! What was really outstanding was the service. Definitel top notch. Had live music but did not start until noon. Will be going back for dinner at some time.

Been here 3 times, each time tried a different country dish and they all have been delicious. Drinks are great as well. The flan was also very good. You can tell it was made from scratch.
Amazing service and amazing food. I am so so so happy with everything from start to finish the evening was made perfect!!!
Nice quiet good food had the short ribs and the Lomo. Only thing is the guac and chips serving was very small( didn’t merit a picture)
