Had hands down one of the greatest meals of my life here. Compliments to the Chef and the entire staff! Could not recommend a better place to eat in Portland than the King Tide.
Nancy and I loved this place! We also happened to meet the chef. He was very sweet and seemed to enjoy our happiness with his amazing choices like my scallops with chorizo and pork belly and Nancy’s shaved scallops with curry oil and mango slices!!!
Absolutely hands up the most delicious dinner. The calamari melted in your mouth. We requested a second order of calamari. I have had calamari from Oahu to the East Coast this is by far the best ever. The clam spaghetti is fabulously delectable. The merging of flavors is a fusion of perfection. We are here for dinner and breakfast while staying in hotel. The bar area and restaurant are separate. We ate In restaurant. The octopus appetizer was fantastic! Very tender and great flavor. We sat outside for breakfast and service was a bit slow.
What a great experience! We have family in the Dragon Boat and this is the second year we have posted up here to watch and brunch! The service was exceptional. Food was great! We appreciate the hospitality, some guest were annoyed that we stayed longer than expected and it might have caused problems for the staff, so we apologize for any issues that may have caused. The restaurant was beyond professional and we will continue to create memories with our family your venue. Thank you for going above and beyond!!
The food is amazing, but really took a loooooonh time waiting for food. Still recommend if you are not in a hurry.
Ate here as part of a chef Tasting Collective event tonight. Service was GREAT. Extensive wine list. Fab lamb ragú and cocktails.
Place has fantastic views for outdoor dining. The food was SO good. Amazing house made clam showier with such a great flavor. They care about your experience a lot so they pretty consistently check in to make sure everything is great. Definitely worth a shot.

Great dining experience overall. I was staying at the Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel for a conference and decided to dine at the bar for dinner. My server/bartender was friendly and attentive and the restaurant manager had excellent recommendations for main course and wine. I had the branzino dish which was amazing. The fish was flavorful, tender - and had some crispy bits towards the edges which were awesome. The sauce was a slightly sweet soy sauce and the rice was quite flavorful too. I paired my meal with a delicious Pinot Gris from the area and had some fresh raw oysters for a savory dessert. I will be returning the next time I'm in the Portland area!
Super great! We had the massive pork chop dinner for 2 with miso dressing. It was so good. Also the service and staff were very attentive and kind. We’ll be back for sure.
My boyfriend and I ate here during our stay in the hotel above the restaurant, and it was a lovely experience! The location is phenomenal, being right by the river. We shared a regular salad and calamari, and we each got a cocktail. Everything was delicious and the staff were very nice!
