Lots of amazing flavors coming from this little donut shop!
I was visiting a friend and she brought me to BSD and we got a 1/2 dozen to try the variety of flavors.
My favorite was probably the champagne pie donut although they were all very good. Also, I was a fan of the peppermint mocha, but that is most likely seasonal.
The donuts are amazing, the coffee is great, the service and vibes are super nice. Definitely a great place to visit in Portland!!
The donuts are crunchy at the outside and soft in the inside with great flavor but not too sweet, love it!

Go here immediately! I had the vegan orange olive oil donut and it was INCREDIBLE!! It was so moist and not too sweet. I was a little concerned about the fennel because it’s not my favorite flavor but really couldn’t taste it. The service was very good too. It’s a good thing I don’t live close to a Blue Star because it could definitely become an issue :)
Blue Star lives up to the hype. It truly is bursting with flavor with a nice texture donut to bite into. We had the raspberry rosemary old fashioned, blueberry bourbon basil, and passion fruit cocoa nib. No complaints here!
FIVE. DOLLARS. for ONE. DONUT. I almost threw up when they rang me up at the counter. A dozen donuts will cost you $60!!!!
Besides the price. Its a truly religious experience of donut that will impress your taste buds and they have delightfully friendly staff. 5/5.
Cool flavors, nice taste. I’ll be real… not my favorite when there are sooooo many in Portland… but they are still for sure worth a try.
Delicious! I got the vegan Orange Olive Oil donut and now I wish I would’ve grabbed both vegan options to try.
I can easily say these are the best donuts I have ever had! The flavors are original and the donuts are fresh. Go out of your way to try this shop. You will leave smiling!
I have tried 9-10 droughts from here and I tend to enjoy their old-fashioned doughnuts more than others so far. It is tender, moist and dense, but it is not heavy. Even next day, I enjoyed the texture and flavor :)
I have tried 3 different filling doughnuts, and I wish they filled with more cream / jelly… If I buy a filling doughnut, I would like to taste/eat cream more than dough.
Crème brûlée is worth trying, but you have to be there at the perfect timing when they touch the sugar.
