Had Shepards pie and old speckled hen. Both were awesome. The place itself was a wonderful atmosphere, with a really authentic English pub feel to it. The perfect place for an evening drink and warm food on a cool evening. The rich history and friendly staff lives up to the reputation of being in the top 10 places to get a beer in the world.
This place is amazing! Try the fish and chips. Perfectly cooked with a delicious batter! If you're looking for a diverse beer selection, this is a great place to go. They have all kinds of imported beer as well as many domestic beers from various breweries. The waitress that served us was very nice as well! Will definitely visit again!
Portland classic with god tier beer and awesome English food and great atmosphere.
Every time I come here I forget how dark it when we enter- but then your eyes adjust. It’s filled with flags, lights, and memorabilia from everywhere but it feels like a classic English bar. Super stylized and feels authentic.
The food itself is great. This trip our table has fish and chips, chicken pot pies, and French dips. All delicious and great portion.
Beer wise whoever picks their beers has been stellar for years. Give them a medal! Awesome fresh hopped beer and tons of classics from the US and Europe.
Fun hangs. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I’m at a great place to have a meal, beers, or hangs.
