Menu is easy to follow. The pulled pork sandwich is very filling; I’ve never been able to finish it. Not to mention it is satisfyingly full of flavor. Great value for the price.
This is my absolute favorite foodcart in SE Portland! Love the spicy beef noodle bowl. It's my go-to comfort food.
I appreciate being able to enjoy Hawaiian food as a vegan! The plate lunch is awesome. Mac salad is delicious. My partner is Polynesian and he approves!

Namu has become one of my takeout favorites during the past pandemic year. I initially visited thanks to a friend who wanted to try their Hawaiian Plate lunch. He loves it - finding it preferable to anything he's had on multiple island visits. I've tended to go with their Korean options, not being a huge fan of Kalua Pork, and have been very happy with my choices. I did try the Pulled Pork sandwich (Kalua based) and it was fine, but I've always found pulled pork to be like pizza - no two are the same, and everyone has their own preferences - mine is heavy on caramelized sauce, which is not Namu's style.
But, I will gladly take anything that Namu makes that involves Bulgogi Beef. That includes their cheesesteak sandwich (spectacular, and easily enough for 2 meals) and the bulgogi beef plate (served with a delightful spinach salad, among other things).
Service has been reliably friendly and efficient, and even though I get my orders to go, there is a substantial amount of covered space in front of the cart, allowing me to keep dry, regardless of the weather.
Just FYI, if you're eating there, beers from Scout go well with all of Namu's offerings.
My fav kind of food right here. I always get the Aloha Bowl & love it. Sometimes restaurants struggle to get tofu right - but it’s always been cooked crispy and well! Yummy sauce, lots of avocado, and plenty of options. The bulgogi is yummy too.
Super delicious vegan options! We got the aloha bowl & spicy tofu plate w/side of mac salad. Everything was perfect! The location and atmosphere were great as well.
First time at this place and I decided to get out of my comfort zone and try their Aloha Bowl which is tofu based(I hardly eat anything tofu). I happy to say that I’m glad I took that decision today. I was delicious!
I had the Kalua Pork Plate from Namu food cart. It had too much sauce, but it was pretty good. There are a few other carts that have better Kalua Pork than Namu but it was definitely good.
We were impressed by the amazing vegetarian and vegan options. Also, the very cozy cart pod makes the experience even better. The aloha bowl recharged my mana and made me smile.
Flew in and asked the hotel front desk what direction was food ... they said go to the right ...
I did and amongst other things found Namu ... the cook/chef/cashier was so pleasant and patient.
I decided on a drink and the Vegan bowl.
All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The flavors meshed for me really well.
The rice was my favorite part along with sitting at the picnic table in the open air.
The bowl was filling and I was amazed it was only 5.00! I was looking to eat on the cheap but not his well for the budget.
They take credit cards also.
