Kenton is the luckiest neighborhood in Portland. We needed an excellent coffee shop. We got the best.
Anijsmelk latte. Go drink it now.
When my wife and I were trying to decide where to live in Portland, we stopped in to Prince after checking out a house here in Kenton. Honestly, the vibe of the shop (and the location right next to Kenton park) pretty much made our decision for us.
Maybe my new favorite sit down spot. Large spaces; no crowded or squished seats. A lot of workers in the building who seem to be regulars or just hanging out.
I know I should’ve tried the stroopwaffels, as that’s what they make in house (pastries are from the Bakehouse) but I wasn’t in the mood. Tried a cranberry bran muffin and - best of all - a stroop steamer. Steamed milk with the cinnamon syrup that they put in the stroopwaffels. New favorite steamer flavor!
Worked from 7-9 and it stayed average busy but never felt too crowded or loud. I’d love to come back!
Just when you think Portland can't possibly accommodate another coffee shop, Prince carved out a niche for itself with a pleasant Northern European vibe. They make their own syrups, pull a fantastic shot, and of course, serve stroopwafels, a caramel/butter/cinnamon delight. Get yourself the anjismelk latte and a stroopwafel and watch the world whirl by from the massive window seat.
One of my favorite PDX spots. Neighbourhood feel and connected to an awesome furniture shop. Heart coffee and good cold brew.
A specialty coffee shop that doesn't change a arm and a leg. Fantastic coffee and the waffle is a pairs excellent with the coffee. Love this place and will definitely go here every time I'm in the area.
Good stroop wafles, but needs more sauce. There was only a tiny amount that didn't even go to the edge of the waffle. Coffee was amazing, so good.
Went in for a quick mocha while my wife got a tattoo next door. Made it quick, good earthy cacao flavor but needed a hint of sweetness for me. Still really good tho
Super friendly staff helped me pick a one of a kind drink. I got the Stroop Latte with Oat Milk and it was sooo good! Only downside is that there are no vegan pastries.
Was driving along on my way to the office and BAM a sign that says coffee, tee and steoopwafels... couldn't park quick enough! Like for reals... daily made fresh stroopwafels! They are like heaven. This is going to be my go to stop when I'm in town! Tea was also amazing and the cheese/butter baguette.
Great little coffee shop with really good matcha and Stroopwaffles! I had my first Stroopwaffle here and it was AMAZING. Plus the people were really nice and welcoming too! Highly recommend!
Delicious. This place is going into my top 5 in PDX. The stroopwaffles are amazing and coffee is fantastic. Knowledgeable batista!
