We had a great experience at Hipcooks. We took the sushi making class. We made several different sushi dishes which included a tofu pocket, smoked salmon stacker, hand rolls, sushi rolls, and nigiri. We used salmon, tuna, and hamachi for the rolls. There was also a super fun culinary challenge between students. We each got one main ingredient, one spice element (heat), and then could use anything else in the kitchen to make our dish complete. The group that won the challenge was awarded an additional beverage. The included beverages for this class were Japanese beer, and hot & cold sake. The dessert was mochi. We would definitely take another class at Hipcooks. It's a great date night.
We went to a Persian cooking class and it was great. Tina was a lot of fun and nice folks in the group. I recommend you pick a class that sounds interesting and sign up!
A huge shout out to Monika/Kristen/Joe- the virtual classes are truly AMAZING! Today, the hand-made pasta was 100 % perfect for dinner and beyond. It was a huge huge hit. 2 sauces- lovely pasta and what an incredible meal and experience!
I thank you all so much for helping to keep Hipcooks a part of the positive step forward.
Love love love each and every class!

Great time sharing this with my wife. We had fun & created the recipes at home several times. We'll definitely be back.
My son treated me to my second class at Hipcooks. The food was amazing and Kat was energetic and fun. I loved it and I’ll be back! I went to a Tapas class before yummy and now I feel more passionate and creative in the kitchen
The vibe here is so great. .
Joe was a terrific chef who really took his time to make sure that everyone in the Zoom call had a good time, knew what they were doing, and left with a pasta dish they were proud to share with their family. His story about how this pasta is special to him because he made it growing up was sweet too. I would definitely recommend Hipcooks virtual cooking classes!
I have taken several classes at Hipcooks in Portland. It has made me cook with what I have at hand and taste and season as I go. I enjoy having their recipes, which you get a day or so after class to remind you, but knowing full well you can adjust them at your liking.
I was gifted a class. It was so wonderful. I cooked Spanish tapas. I do cook a lot, at home. I learned a few new tricks and the overall vibe was great, fun, and others in the class were super friendly.
Never knew making pasta could be so easy! Went on a date night with the girlfriend. Tina made the class so much fun. 11/10 Would go again.
Learned a lot in a short time. I did feel a "weight loss " vibe that I didn't like and some classes over lap the same recipes from one to the next. Overall a great experience. Went back 10 times.
