Delicious food. Large portions. Fast and easy to order. The gyros are incredible! I recommend this restaurant.
The food at this new location on Washington Avenue is just as good, if not better than their previous location. Today I ordered Chicken Shawarma (spicy) and true to form, it didn't fail. Huge portion, huge on FLAVOR, and huge on value. As I write this, we're still in the pandemic but they have indoor dining. I chose mine to go. I scanned the interior and it is a very pleasing modern design and very clean. I paid for my order and waited in my vehicle until I received a hot, delicious meal complete with utensils and plenty of napkins.
Best Gyro in Town. And living in Chicago, I know a good gyro went I taste one.
I stopped by on a whim and I'm so glad that I did. I had the gyro plate with fries, and it was honestly THE best gyro I've ever! The portion was HUGE! I couldn't eat it as a sandwich until worked away at the meats because there was just so much meat stuffed into the pita bread. The tatziki sauce was a perfect complement! This isn't a fast food place at all, and you can tell that the food is made with love. The owner came out to ask me how the food was, and the service was excellent!
I will be back, and will be bringing my family with.
WOW! We try out many restaurants in a 3 hour radius & this place may have been my favorite! It was wonderful; big portions, authentic, low prices, absolutely beautifully presented food, wonderful young men working there, kind, helpful, tolerant.... 1 little thing was that I think it's silly to have to pay for water, but overall A++
I’ve been a customer of gyro express for many years now, they are the best in town for gyros and my friends I bring that order other things (shawarma) say it’s fantastic. I always order the same thing, to the point the owner knows my order and even if I don’t order it without tomato’s and spicy, that’s how he brings it out to me. They have 2 kinds of fries too, Try the seasoned ones! Also the desserts are fantastic! I don’t know if they make them there, but they are so flakey and delicious! I think I’m going tomorrow now, I’m craving a gyro!
The food presentation was wonderful the food tasted fresh the salad was very fresh and crunchy I was very pleased with my Euro Plate and my Greek Mediterranean salad I will return
