Food was good. What appeard to be a daughter of the lady running the place was running the register and taking orders. She was friendly, happy and efficient (and pretty adorable).
Chicken wings crisp and delicious. They have moved back around the corner from earlier location.
Will definitely be back again.
My first time eating here and I will return. I ordered the general tso chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll, it came to just over $10 which is economical. It was good and I would recommend. Seems fresh. I removed one star because only one employee had on a mask.
This is hands down the best take-out Chinese restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of trying! When I move soon, I'm still coming back here if I want Chinese. Their lo mein and Szechuan chicken is amazing, and their crab rangoons are always full and crispy!
Everything tastes like nothing but quality ingredients and cooking techniques.
After I ate there, I learned Mandarin in one day. All there food done 15 minutes. There fried rice made my winky go Ding !!!! It was a very nice. We had Kung Fu fight in parking lot. After we ate the chicaty china the Chinese chicken, have a drumstick and your brain start clicking.
11/8/19 was my very for time eating at this location. I looked them up online and I checked their reviews so I decided to give a try. When I went in the lady greeted me. One thing I really took notice to was that they had a 99. something. And I was surprised to see that. Now to the food! I ordered a large chicken lo mein. The food was really good 👌! But the only gripe that I have is that you don't get a lot of food for the price🙁. I will go back, but I will try another dish, probably the their General Tso Chicken. I will update ya'll when I do. I truly think this is one of the best Chinese food restaurants around. The reason for the 4 stars is because of the portions other than that it would have been a 5 star. Go and check them out!
July 2023 Update - Still high quality cheap Chinese, not quite up to Fu Kee, but my #2 in Raleigh area. Food is a little less plentiful than it used to be, but still more than enough. There is no atmosphere to speak of, but the food is great and ready quickly. Kung Po and Hunan chicken were excellent.
BIG PLUS - on a big order they LABELED the meals, and stapled them closed. When two of the takeout orders fell over in my car, I was able to right them before they spilled.
June 2018 - Probably the best cheap Chinese within driving range of my work. Food is tasty and plentiful. Lady who takes orders is a little hard to understand, but understood our complicated order perfectly, and was super polite and helpful when I had questions. Food was ready less than 15 minutes after we ordered 8 lunch specials, and everyone's food was exactly as ordered.
Tasty Food, But These Folks Are Greedy!
Food is excellent, but they take advantage and make nick & dime out of everything. I never seen a place where they add $1 to make food spicy, add another $1 for a small pack of crisp noodle with your soup. If you can't allow customers to customize their order for free, they aren't coming back.
This family run establishment is my safe bet for local Chinese food in the area. I've been eating here since the previous owners, and I've always been happy with the service. Sometimes the owners' kids are doing their homework at a table, but other times they're answering phones and taking orders. I always leave a nice tip on takeout, especially when I'm interrupting homework time! :)
The food is good and consistent. The combos are a good value, the fried rice is yummy (I'm a connoisseur and this is your typical delicious fried rice. Reliable and comforting). Steamed or fried dumplings are good. Nice soups, too. I've had chow mein, chx broc, sesame chx and the general's chx and they're all good. I'm basic, I know. I've been meaning to try more things, but these standards have yet to fail me at this location. Why fix it if ain't broke?
I like this place a lot and I think you should give it a shot. Treat yo self!
If I could add more stars I would. Absolutely Delicious!! We used Door Dash for delivery. I wholeheartedly recommend this Chinese restaurant. Fresh, high quality eats!!
Me and my mom have been going here for years, even after all the times we've moved we always end up back at this specific location. This has got to be my favorite place to eat and my favorite food ever. The staff is amazing and the girl who usually works the register is 10/10. Overall, this is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten (and the best Taste of China).
