The best Hofbrau around! Servers are respectful and fun. A great place to watch sports games and a great beer menu. Just wish there was one in San Francisco!
Love this restaurant in Redwood City. Great food, great beer, and great service!!
I've always heard of this place and finally decided to stop by. The staff were all working extremely hard and still had the time to explain the menu. The food was phenomenal, to say the least. The rotisserie chicken I got was moist and bursting with flavor. Honestly, shocked good food like this was so affordable. I'll be making this my regular lunch/dinner spot whenever I can stop by.
Always love Harry's! I've been coming here for years and can't get enough of it. They have a nice location, great atmosphere, and above all delicious food. The prices are good and there are a ton of unique and delicious options to choose from. The bar is also very nice, with a great selection of beers on tap and comfortable seating all around. Check it out and if you're not sure what to get, you can never go wrong with a classic french dip.
An cafeteria style dinner place. Once through the door, you see a line of people waiting in line to order food. You have to grab a tray and tell the counter staff what you want for the main dish then your moved down the line to get your sides and desserts. You can see all the food they serve and all looked delicious. I ordered from the carvery and got turkey with gravy, stuffing, mashed potato and gravy, bread and butter, pesto pasta and water. All under $20 dollars. Turkey tasted good with the gravy. The pesto pasta was freshly made and had sundried tomato. Plenty of seating area and place is very cozy. I'm gonna say lots of people who eats here are regulars. I would definitely eat here again.
This place is such a comforting restaurant that oozes tradition with their cafeteria style dining and classic decor. It reminds me of Tommy’s joint in SF but down on the peninsula. I had the prime rib which is a Saturday special. For the price, it did not disappoint. You will definitely walk out of this place with a full stomach and some cash left over in your wallet. Everything was reasonably priced. Great for families as well!
Nice place to dine and drink beer.
They have more than 5 taps to choose from.
The roasted beef is tender and tasty, don't forget to ask for the sauce, top it with mashed potato and gravy.
They have more than 20 side dishes and desserts to choose from.
Must try: Roast chicken and roast beef
Harry's Hofbrau is a genuine German food experience that you must go to. I had the tri tip with genuine mashed potatoes and gravy and a tasty macaroni salad. After dinner I sampled a true German imported Hefeweizen with a squeeze of lemon for true authenticity. The best beer I have ever sampled.
You will live walking around the place too seeing all kinds of carved caricatures and steins and pictures. Located in Redwood City, CA.
This is probably the oldest Restaurant in Redwood City & is one of the Best
"Comfort food " locations in town.
Awesome location to bring friends & Family for traditional cuisine. Not @ all Fancy,
But the atmosphere is nostalgic and welcoming. Chill bar, and relaxing patio area outside.
The Employees/ Staff here is Amazing!
Extremely friendly, and Very nice to everyone.
They All deserve a Commendation &
Raises.
They are not paid nearly enough ,
for being Essential worker's...And the kindness they show to many Patrons, of All ages..
Just about a Historic Landmark for this area.
I Hope they Never leave 🙏
Harry's Hofbrau in Redwood City is savory goodness, with friendly and courteous staff that serves large portions with a smile and refillable drinks at your table. The ambiance is similar to that of another Hofbrau more closer and near to my hometown of Sacramento, CA. So with that said, similar food items with daily specials listed at this cafeteria style restaurant with the extra service of clearing the dishes and eating utensils from the table.
One of the food selection today (Oct 25th) is Turkey Ala King on a bed of White Rice. To be honest, when I seen the person that ordered this dish, the mound upon mound of Rice and the Ala King was generously and enormous. Looks like I would get it, but I had that Half Backed seasoned chicken in mind. The dinner came with a bread roll, and a salad of your choosing (from house salad, Caesar, macaroni, carrots & pineapple and Jello fruit salads. All in all the experience is great and give a 5 stars on service and product. Additionally, this place provides Regular drink loving straws (which I appreciate) rather than most Bay Area places providing paper straws.
As for the official rating will have to be 4 stars for the fact that this establishment doesn't support armed fources, active military or Veterans with a discount. Now, what other Hof Brau establishment has a military and veterans discount with the same kinds of foods serves.... Sam's Hofbrau off of Watt Avenue in Sacramneto. They officially get a 5 stars Review.
