I have come here for almost every birthday dinner for many years and my 40th was no different. They made room for 15 of us on a Saturday night prime time, the food was amazing, the wait staff were great and our family loved it! My favorite restaurant, hands down.

The Mongolian Barbecue concept is awesome, if you have a bad meal it is pretty much on you unless the ingredients are poor. Khan's for the most part has quality ingredients to choose from and good sauces to go with them. You build your own bowl then you decide what kind and how much sauce. You dictate if it is spicy or not, I love that. Trying to get Asian places up north to believe you really mean spicy when you order is a near impossible task. Now that a chain has taken this idea and bastardized it I'm really glad to see Khan's keep at least some class in it. To the person that had a bad experience due to confusion with their children, just know not every restaurant is necessarily kid friendly and while the staff could have done a better job so could you by doing a bit more research online before visiting a place you admittedly knew nothing about. At least in this case a person that has only one review may have helped others to know this isn't a place to bring a one year old.

Love Khan's Mongolian Barbecue. Fun place. For those that have not been there, you create your own masterpiece by picking your own ingredients and spices then bring it up to be stir fried.

Great food. Really cool experience. Don't try to seat yourself though. The servers will get offended and not wait on you. my wife and I made the mistake of sitting down one time at a table without being seated by the restaurant. We set there with our friends for close to an hour visiting us and one of the people that kept walking past us with the manager. We use to go twice a year but since that incident we've been back in 6 years.

Alll you can eat stir fry! The place is busy and pretty good food. Not very clean, but expected. Waiter was new and didn't know the prices and was very forgetful. Lucky he works at a buffet. It's was decent I shouldn't be so hard. My wife really liked it. I guess I was expecting more.

Best of the Khan's. The Bloomington location has the best laid out buffet of their locations and the line moves fairly quickly. The concept is easy as it is make your own stir fry. I like the pork, but sometimes it can get overcooked on the grill if they are very busy. What makes this spot the best to take friends is all types of eaters can get what they want! Their tofu is very good, they have a large selection of seafood, several "standard" meats, and plenty of veggies. Just don't skip the pineapple, the sweetness is perfect with Dragon Sauce. You can follow the menu to make your sauce or just play around until you get what you like. You really cannot go wrong unless you put in a vegetable that you hate. I only have two complaints: is there is one server, an older lady, that we groan when we see because she never gets around to refilling drinks - ever! The other is their somewhat recent change to not have appetizers. I really miss the soup, chicken wing, and spicy mustard. The fried wontons and really horrible dip they bring should be just straight thrown away.

Get the peanuts!. The thing I love about Khan's is that you can create your own unique dish. I don't need to ask for modifications to the menu because I'm a vegetarian - I just make them myself. The veggies sometimes are frozen (such as the peas on my last visit), but there are fresh options too like onions, carrots and spinach. I love experimenting with the sauces to go along with my different veggies. Be sure to have the chef add peanuts! Overall, I've always been satisfied with the quality and flavor of my food at Khan's.

The cleanliness of the Bloomington location leaves a bit to be desired. A good deep clean and fresh interior could definitely help improve the feel of the place.

Appetizers are gross, noodle bar is good.. I didn't care for the appetizers that came with the meal. I would like some choices and no one told us what they were and they had seafood, which we're allergic to. I like the idea of making my own stir fry and I admit the food was good. The restaurant could use some updating, but the food was very good.

April 27, 2011. I went to Khan's (Roseville) with someone who had never been there. She had a fabulous meal.

Khan's is a place where you do have to go more than once, and you should make small bowls to start, in order to find out what you like. My mix, which is quite spicy, is one ginger water, one house sauce, one house spicy, two dragon sauces. one cooking wine, one garlic, two curry, and one jalapeno pepper mixture. It has taken me about 10 years to find that mixture.

The appetizer is a barbeque chicken wing, a hot and sour soup, and a wanton with a sweet and sour and hot mustard sauce. The chicken wing is good. The soup is hit or miss. The wanton is a nice crunch for the rest.

The stir fry is what you make it. Just keep trying. This is where you get the sauces to mix as well. Then you bring it to the cooks and they fry it up for you. Rice is brought to your table, along with this sweet honey and sesame bread. That's not for me, but please try it if you like sweet food.

Also, try the plum wine. Very good with the stir fry.

Love It!. I have loved Khans for years now. My favorite is their hot and sour soup. I know, right? But it is delicious and I only wish that I could get the recipe and make it at home.

I love the stir fry. I always make mine spicy. The service is always great and on more than one occasion, I have been able to get extra soup instead of the chricken wing... I take people here all the time. Do NOT miss out on an oppourtunity to come here!

Awesome! Coon Rapids is best!. My husband and I love Kahn's, unfortunately, if you have a picky eater for a child you can only visit on special date nights! We love the Coon Rapids location, a little more new, a little cleaner than the rest. But all have equally great food and great service. Best part is, the fact that you control your destiny here and make your own creations!

It's been my favorite restaurant since childhood (turned 40 yesterday and went to Khan's to celebrate). They've adapted to pandemic with sneeze guards around all the food. You can order a bowl from their menu or build your own but now their waitstaff handles the food, brings it to the grill and then serves it to you at your table. I do miss the self serve buffet but also understand it's not possible during the pandemic. Some of my friends and family have expressed concern in the past about the self serve buffet and how messy the buffet line can look when Khan's is busy (Friday and Saturday night for example) but I implore them to try Khan's now! The public never touches or has access to the food, sneeze guards are everywhere and social distancing protocols are in place! I miss the old Khan's because some of the customization of your bowl has been lost, but these are the times we live in, so grab your mask and go to Khan's Mongolian BBQ! It's the best restaurant in the world!!!

COVID-time review: Amazing transformatiom of a raw food buffet line to individual take-out. I got there at 5:00 and even with one group ahead of me, it was still about a 10 minute wait. The food was as delicious as it ever was. You go in the restaurant and walk through the buffet line, telling the server what you want. They pile it on super high, just as the restaurant has always been known for. Food was just as good as it has always been. Still playing the Japanese game show and sports on the TV. Portion was huge. I took it home, are as much as I could, and still had a full portion left and then some. Standard trip through line was $19 after tax, and included white rice, wonton chips, special Mongolian salsa/dip, and a fortune cookie. No asian sticky buns with a regular line order. But otherwise just as good as always.

I love this place. The food is amazing, its a buffet type chose your own stir-fry. The selection is very broad and seems to be good quality. The staff there are always friendly and the manager will greet you with your name if your there enough like me lol.

Hats off Khans. The food was amazing. Being a vegetarian I found it easy to choose my protein, veggies and the different type of sauce. It's great to put a menu out how much sauce to put to make it perfect. My Mongolian friend told me that it's not an authentic Mongolian restaurant. I would recommend to go to this restaurant. Try the One Bowl noodles. Pile up as much you want. The trick is add noodles to your bowl last, that way you can add as much protein and veggies in one meal. Don't forget to try the Wonton chips and Mango Salsa. I loved that salsa.

The place is amazing before the pandemic and even now they are doing the best they can with all the restrictions. Good spacing and unfortunately you cannot make your own bowl but go through the line and pick it out with them. I would recommend to do one bowl because of how much they put in it!
