Good Cantonese food. The seafood is fresh and the duck juicy. Just pay no mind to the furniture that has seen better days and the lazy Susan that is difficult to turn, and just enjoy the food. The portion sizes justify the prices.

This is hands down the best Chinese Restaurant for the price, in the city of Richmond. Not "Chinese takeout". Chinese food. Show of hands. A Chinese restaurant offers General Tso Chicken for 12 dollars. How many times have you gone to that place and seen even one person in the store eating? I went for lunch and every 4 top table in the dining room here was in use. This place. Is the real deal. Walking into the vestibule, there is a shrine to the left with cups of tea, sweet cakes and money. As you come into the store, you are greeted with a plaque in pride of place "Top 25 restaurants in Richmond" on the left, and too the right a hot holding case for the meat you will soon be eating. Which I saw being taken out of the oven and hung up. Entire roasted ducks and chickens. while walking into the dining room the crabs on the menu eye you warily from their aquarium. If all that was not the giveaway I was in for something special, the fact that once seated I was presented with a tea cup, plate, reusable chopsticks and a fork was the final straw. You are not given a spoon, or a knife here. The tea was given as I sat down, Jasmine, and you could see the loose leaf still floating in the first pour. This was not from a bag. I ordered my go too General Tso, being an insufferable Meiguoren, but I also ordered the steamed pork buns to go with it. To my surprise, without prompting the chicken was presented not with fried rice, or white rice, but with brown rice. Those of you who know, know. And it was very good. The rice was cooked perfectly, with the perfect creaminess you expect from good brown rice. It worked great with the spicy general tso as well. The Pork Buns were likewise amazing. Clearly steamed and cooked all the way through, with a bready, almost cake like texture and taste. And the filling was hardly an afterthought. Perfection. While looking around the room, I noticed traditional large tables with the rotating tops. This is a place to bring the entire crew, and create your own tasting menu. If you have an Asian food fanatic in the family, this is your spot. One table walked out with enough carry out to feed a small army. Upon walking up to the counter to pay, the lady of the house was interrupted by a carry out order. The person on the phone wanted to order duck. Not a duck dish. A duck. The whole duck. Roasted. With 4 side dishes. And my entire meal cost around 19 dollars. Mind boggling. An experience like this could easily cost 40 dollars. You have to try this local gem.

This place is incredible. Been coming here for 20+ years and blown away every single time. It’s no frills with amazing food. Don’t listen to the bad reviews by people who expect PF Chang’s trendy cocktails and hustle bustle waitstaff. Full Kee is not that. Definitely a low key joint. I recommend the shrimp with black bean sauce. Takeout is great too

This is a very popular restaurant. It's the only place in the Richmond market area that you can get dim sum. Very crowded. The food was good in high quality the service was on point. If you get there early you going to be waiting in line to get in. My only real issue was with the cleanliness of the restaurant. But I may be a little bit weird like that, I like restaurants to be extremely clean.

I found out about this Authentic Dim Sum experience about 7 years ago! Since then I have been hooked! The Shark Fin Dumpling (not real shark fin, it’s shrimp) Is like an explosion of flavor in your mouth. The Sticky Rice has what I call treasure inside. The atmosphere with the cart service is my favorite part. Well seeing the same dedicated staff for 7 years may be my favorite part. Okay, Okay all of it’s my favorite part!!! If you like Dim Sum and a great experience, this is your place. I recently moved to Durham, NC and still travel here to get my fix ❤️

Authentic Chinese fare including Dim-Sum. Friendly staff - they speak English so communication is not a problem. I make it a point to stop here everytime I pass through Richmond. **** Update 11/26/2023 **** Had dinner here for the first time. For some reason they didn't hand out the Chinese menu and instead gave us the paper, folded, take-out menu which had the usual beef&broccoli type fare. I had to ask for the dim-sum menu. They add ¢50 to all the dimsum items. It took a long time for the food to arrive for 2 of us. We ordered a congee (which isn't in the paper menu) while we waited and thankfully that came in a few minutes ago or hunger didn't kill us.

Ordered family style and shared with friends. Service was great, and the food was top notch. They have a tank with love lobsters and menu with both American and Cantonese options.

Great place for dim sum. They served dim sum with a cart which is authentic. Everything is good and fresh. They will charge extra $0.5 per dim sum if you order after 3pm and there’s no traditional cart.

Full Kee is the best restaurant to get Dim Sum in Richmond. Dim Sum originated from Guangdong (Canton), China. Served as breakfast or lunch with high quality tea. That is why Dim Sum is also know as “Yum Cha”, means drink tea in Chinese. Dim Sum comes in a large variety of small portion items served in steamers or small plates. The main characteristics of Cantonese-style Dim Sum are fresh ingredients, wide variety of styles, fresh and diverse flavors, skillfully crafted bit-size dishes in many colors, shapes and forms. The main cooking methods are steam, bake, and deep fry. Well prepared small dishes are showcased in a multi-layer push cart going around the tables for the customers to choose from. You can also order off a Dim Sum menu by selecting the checkboxes. Go and give it a try! Review from a few years ago: Full Kee has been around in Richmond for a long time, they were here in 1999 when I first moved here. Very authentic Hong Kong/ Cantonese food. Best dim sum in town, they are served as how it was in southern China. People push carts filled with little dishes around the restaurant, you can see and pick what you want to eat. Price varies based on the size of the dish. They are not very expensive. It is a good idea to go in a group of three or four people, so you can try as many dishes as you can. Most dishes contains two, three or four pieces in them. You don’t have to go all the way to New York Chinatown to get dim sum.
